The men made it safely to Banner Elk NC for our retreat. God’s beauty is amazing. I have never seen this much snow in April before.
We have a few more coming up this afternoon, please keep all of us in prayer that Gods word is taught, we are all kept safe, and God receives the glory!

Yesterday was a beautiful day in the house of the Lord. God is working inside of Temple Baptist Church.

We are sad to see our interim pastor Dan Green announce his resignation. Dan stepped in at Temple during a time when our church family needed it the most. He has led Temple for 14 months, and has done a great job. Pray for Dan as April 14th will be his last sermon. He will have time to focus on his 3 sons and his wife which he adores. He will have time for new roles coming at work, and he will have time to focus on his health.

While we are sad Dan is stepping aside we are excited that he and his family will remain at Temple as church members.

We are also excited to announce that God has shown us who our next interim will be. Jacob Smoak has accepted the call to become our interim pastor. Jacob will be transitioning from an internship he has been serving in for 3 years. This young man has an energy and a fire that we are excited to see here at Temple.

It is such a beautiful thing to see God at work, and to see him take care of his people.

If you get the opportunity come visit with us. Come see Pastor Dan as he preaches through the Easter season the next few weeks. It is sure to be a wonderful experience.

How do you prepare yourself to worship on Sunday? Keith shared at our men’s breakfast asking and challenging us, how are we preparing ourselves to be in the presence of God?

“And let us be concerned about one another in order to promote love and good works, not staying away from our worship meetings, as some habitually do, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day drawing near.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10‬:‭24‬-‭25‬ ‭HCSB‬‬

Men don’t forget, tomorrow is our men’s breakfast. The Bible tells us not to stay away from our worship meetings, and to encourage one another.
Let this message serve as encouragement to join us, bring a friend. We have a very special guest that will be speaking tomorrow.
We will start eating at 8:00, so please make plans to join us.

“And our people must also learn to devote themselves to good works for cases of urgent need, so that they will not be unfruitful.”
‭‭Titus‬ ‭3‬:‭14‬ ‭HCSB‬‬

Yesterday a few of our men had the privilege of helping one of our church members that was in need of a ramp at their home. What an awesome experience to serve in the Lords name.

“Be careful to obey all these things I command you, so that you and your children after you may prosper forever, because you will be doing what is good and right in the sight of the Lord your God.”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭12‬:‭28‬ ‭HCSB‬‬

Thank you to all that came and helped or donated to our mission. To the women that donated items, to the women that wrote notes of encouragement, to the men that came and gave their time to pack bags for the homeless and less fortunate.

We now pray that the men and women at Fountain Inn Police department can get these bags into the hands of the people that can benefit. We pray that the Bible’s in the bags will be read and be a blessing to someone in need, the ones who receive these bags will benefit from the nutrition of the snacks that have been provided. God please bless everyone that receive these items, and use these to further your kingdom.

“Provide justice for the needy and the fatherless; uphold the rights of the oppressed and the destitute. Rescue the poor and needy; save them from the power of the wicked.””
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭82‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ ‭HCSB‬‬

Men, tomorrow we will be partnering with Fountain Inn police department as we put together bags for them to hand out to homeless and other victims in need.

Please join us at 9:00 am. Don’t expect it to take much longer than an hour.

This reminds me of the old saying “our windshields are large so we can see what’s in front of us, but our rear view mirror is small so we won’t focus on what’s behind us.”

Happy Monday everyone!

Happy Friday everyone… just a quick reminder.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭3‬:‭23‬ ‭HCSB‬‬

Praying everyone is having a great week so far. I wanted to remind everyone of our new study we are starting tonight.

New time is 6:30, and we will be combining our men’s group with our women’s group to begin our marriage study. Men will learn how to love their wives and women will learn how to respect their husbands the way God intended.

Hope to see you tonight!

“So we must not get tired of doing good, for we will reap at the proper time if we don’t give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, we must work for the good of all, especially for those who belong to the household of faith.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭HCSB‬‬

, just a reminder about the outreach we have tomorrow. We will be he helping one of our member’s mom. Her name is Mrs. Linda. She suffers from dementia and isn't able to take care of the things around her home such as bushes, w**ds, and mulch. We have a load of fresh mulch being delivered around 8:00 am.

Please let us know if you able to come and help, remember many hands make light work. Reach out as we will share the address.

My family and I had the opportunity to go back a few weeks ago when the temperatures were in the 100's everyday and cut Mrs Linda's yard and w**d eat it. She was so thankful for what we were able to do, and it kept her from trying to go out in that heat and doing it herself. It's truly a blessing helping others.

Thanks and God Bless!

Praying everyone has had a great week. This picture is something I have had on my phone for years now, but it never gets old.

Think about how different your circumstances might be had you fought like this 3rd monkey.

If your able, please join us on Tuesday nights, at 7:00 pm. I promise you won’t regret it, hope to see you there.
