Confidence!
This has been a hot topic in my recent coaching sessions. Lack of confidence, imposter syndrome, building confidence, overcoming fear… have all been recurring themes in my conversations lately.
Mostly, I have observed the majority believe that one is born with innate confidence, however my own experience has led me to believe that this is something that most have built over time with life experiences.
I am asked often about my experience at Chopra Retreats, hosting webinars, podcasts, etc…. The majority believes I was always confident showing up and doing “my thing”. However, this is not the case. In the beginning of my career I often struggled with showing up and believed I didn’t have enough knowledge or experience to make a significant impact.
The one thing that had rooted me and aided in overcoming my fears, anxiety, self-doubt, has always been asking myself:
How can I help and serve?
Shifting my perspective to service takes the attention away from me. I know the universe has guided those who have something to receive from me my way. We are meant to learn from each other and grow. We all have something to share.
Next time you are presented with a situation that makes you uncomfortable, I invite you to ask yourself. How can I help and serve in this moment?
Remember, it’s not about us. We are here everyday to learn from each other. We are all sharing our unique gifts and bringing love and joy to this world.
Namaste 🙏
Happy June!
Perfect memory popped up today with my teacher Deepak Chopra! I am so grateful for all the tools I have learned from him and for the ability to share and contribute to countless transformations over the years 🙏
New month is always an opportunity to observe a theme for a short time. June is bringing many changes to my life! I am currently navigating the sale of a house, buying a new one, navigating a move with my boys, temporarily living away from my husband, work, the list goes on and on! My June theme is Detachment! I am letting go of the need to control my life and trusting the universe’s guidance!
What is your focus this month? What are you working on? I would love to hear some other themes being observed in June 💕
Today is World Meditation Day!
For the last few weeks, as we explored Mental Health Month, Meditation has been part of my conversations with clients, friends, family, and anyone who has explored the topic of Mental hygiene with me.
For over a decade now, Meditation has become an essential tool in my life. Meditation is also my most recommended tool when coaching and teaching my clients.
As we celebrate Meditation today, it is important to recognize the growth and the place that meditation has in today’s society. We now have research showing the benefits of meditation on a physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual level.
Why would someone meditate? Let’s look at some examples:
1. Stress Reduction
2. Boost to Immune System
3. Hormone Balance
4. Cell Rejuvenation
5. Connection to Self
These are just a few in a long list of benefits that we can explore!
Have you ever experienced meditation? Would you like to experience it?
I am always excited to connect and discuss meditation. I hope you give it a try! Let me know if you are ready to take your first step towards a practice that will give you lifelong happiness 🧘🏻♀️
Life is constantly changing.
Being open to infinite possibilities is the best path to continued growth and to the enjoyment of life’s gifts.
Taking a leap of faith and jumping into a new and unknown path is best when done with a partner you trust and know has your back.
It’s time for me to trust the constant change the universe throws my way and embark on a family move to Tulsa, Oklahoma.
I take this next step knowing the universe got my back! I embark in this journey with the best partner supporting and guiding our family. I am so grateful for and the family we created together.
It’s not easy to start over, but we have done this many times and have learned great lessons each time. I have my grounding tools and am ready to use them as needed.
1. Daily meditation keeps me grounded and releases anxiety.
2. Movement in the form of walks, yoga, weight lifting to provide me with happy energy and release stagnation in my physical body.
3. Nourishment of my body with the rainbow to receive all the energy from nature.
4. Gratitude journaling.
5. Soaking in the beautiful energy from my loved ones!
Change is not easy, but it’s an opportunity to grow! Setting positive intentions, planting beautiful seeds, and trusting the universe is the best way to navigate it and utilize this opportunity to grow!
Tulsa here we go!
They might not be so little anymore, but they are my forever babies! Love being the mom of these three beautiful souls! It’s such an honor to see them each grow into their unique beings! Happy Mother’s Day to all mamas out there!
Happy Mindfulness Month!
This month we are celebrating the greatest tool that I have adopted into my life, the gift of Meditation. I was a young mother living in Paris when my very dear friend Susan introduced me to my very first meditation. She not only introduced me to meditation, but to a Deepak Chopra Meditation.
I cannot say enough words of gratitude to Susan! This simple tool has completely changed my life and who I am as an individual.
I have since gone on a spiritual path of connecting to my inner voice, connected to the beauty that surrounds me, and found deeper connection and guidance from the universe.
I have also guided many into meditation and to develop a practice that is their own.
Being part of the Chopra family for over a decade has also brought me to connect to so many beautiful souls and be part of their path to wellness and self-discovery.
What mindfulness practice have you adopted? Are you curious about meditation? I would love to hear what you are currently doing to slow down and practice being centered this month?
Happy Earth Day! 🌎
Our environment is so important to us! In Ayurveda we consider our environment to be part of the layers of our physical body. We are made up of the elements, they are part of our makeup.
Today as we pay special attention to this topic, how can we commit to honoring this extension of our bodies? How can we respect our environment as we do our personal body?
We are in constant exchange with our surroundings and therefore are ONE with our beautiful Earth!
I invite you to be mindful of the choices you make today and every day. Many of our choices are unconscious. Add a small dose of extra attention and you might be creating a ripple effect of positive change in our beautiful planet!
Looking back at where I started! Over a decade ago I went on a self-discovery journey that led me to the Chopra universe. My first training was Meditation quickly followed by Ayurveda and Yoga after falling in love with Vedanta!
The beginning journey was focused on me, my family, and just gaining confidence as a teacher.
I have now taught hundreds to Meditate, practice Yoga, and Coached them to connect to a higher version of themselves.
The learning is ongoing and I am always excited to add more knowledge to my toolbox!
Fun memory!
Now what? Ready or not 41 here I go!
This year there was a lot more talk around my age. I have been more vocal about my age since studying Hormone Health this past year and finding my age to be a contributing factor in some of the personal changes I saw around my health.
As with new beginnings, this one has me revisiting my life priorities, time allocation, and what I envision for myself this upcoming year. Meditation has been the most powerful tool with this exploration, allowing me to expand my vision and take a deeper look into the ongoing cycles I have in my life. What cycles do I need to break and release? What cycles have been nurturing and need further dedication?
This has been a fun exploration and one I am not normally participating on the receiving end….As a Wellness Coach I am typically guiding individuals into these types of exercises. It’s wonderful to step into my client’s shoes and feel the power that self-exploration and transformation can awaken in an individual.
I find most individuals shy away from sharing with others their feelings around self-transformation, but I find it empowering and that it can ignite deeper connections within social circles.
If you are exploring your own journey and looking at making wellness changes I would love to connect! I currently have a couple of coaching spots that opened up and would enjoy a conversation to see if transformational coaching is a fit for you! DM me or link to website in my Bio.
Hello Spring!
This week I have dedicated the time to really take inventory of my takeaways from and my commitment to self in the Spring season.
In Ayurveda, we practice communion with nature and making shifts to our routine during seasonal changes. We can make slight shifts in the way we eat, dress, sleep, daily schedule, commit to a reset such as a detox, or any other practice that supports balance. I am personally looking forward to warmer days spent outside in my favorite place, our home in Lake Norman.
This year it was very timely to have these two events so close to each other and reflect on what I wanted to take with me from into Spring. The one strong feeling that kept coming up for me was making myself a priority and honoring my inner voice.
So how am I choosing to make myself a priority in the Spring?
1. Daily affirmation practice - “I choose myself “.
2. Choosing to return to the present moment whenever I catch myself “future tripping” or wishing for a return of the past. The moment is NOW!
3. Sober life.
4. Movement - strength training combined with walks.
5. Eating seasonal fresh foods as much as I can.
6. Journaling and gratitude.
7. Learning - continuing my joy for learning by taking new classes in the field of wellness and reading empowering books.
I invite you to take a moment and explore your routine right now. Is there anything your inner self is desiring? Is there a shift you are being called to make? Maybe it’s adding a new healthy habit, or perhaps letting go of a habit that no longer serves you? Big or small, you can create impactful changes in your life by taking one step at a time.
So what Spring commitment can you make to yourself?
Big personal celebration day! I have successfully completed the and am 6 months sober today!
75 Hard for me was a Mental Health Challenge. The choice to take on this endeavor came from a need for mental health clarity and taking the time to honor myself. This was not inspired by physical goals, but from the desire and need to start the year with energy, grounding, and a clear mind. Today I feel stronger, full of energy, and excited to continue to honor my mind, body, and soul.
The decision to release alcohol from my life was also motivated by the need for mental discipline . After 20 years of drinking, I came to the conclusion that alcohol was no longer serving me, it was creating mental fog, damaging my body and ability to perform at a high physical level, and causing high levels of anxiety. I felt the calling to make a change to honor my body, body, and soul.
This journey has certainly not been easy! As the universe does, I have been tested in more ways than I could have imagined when I made these choices. In the last six months I have faced emotional challenges, adjustments to a new professional reality, family demands, marriage complications, and own personal struggles. I share this because the path can often be perceived as easy, but perception is not reality. As a Coach and Wellness professional, I have many tools to support my personal journey, yet I too have to do the work, show up, and shift my priorities. I have to make the daily commitment to show up for myself.
I have chosen ME every social event for the last six months. I have chosen ME when my anxiety and emotions are high. I chose to show up for myself every day for the last 75 days even when tired and the schedule was challenging. I now chose to continue to be here for myself in this journey of personal growth and connection to SELF beyond these last 75 days.
The journey to self discovery is not without challenges, but I am grateful for my village who supports me, my own personal coach who has provided invaluable guidance, and my family who fills my life with love and joy.
I hope this long post inspires you to choose yourself today and every day!
Namaste 🙏
Happy International Women’s Day!
Today I would like to honor all the amazing women who are part of my life! Women who are out in the world creating change, supporting and empowering each other, and most importantly inspiring each other!
I am proud of myself for showing up for ME everyday. I make the choice to prioritize my needs while being a pillar of strength for my family and role model for my daughter. 2023 was a very challenging year with so many challenges and changes, I feel strong today because I made choices to serve my wellbeing and happiness. We make this choice everyday!
I am so so proud of my daughter Gisele. She inspires me everyday! It’s the greatest joy to see her thriving as she creates her own life and takes steps into adulthood!
I am grateful for the women who showed me the way! My mother who is an example of strength and determination!
Let’s take today to lift each other up 🙌🏻
We got this!
Today I would like to take the time to acknowledge the entrepreneurship and initiative of my youngest son Gyan.
Last Fall he approached our family with his brand idea. He had created a clothing design concept and organized a financial plan that would bring his idea to reality.
March 1st Gyan launched his clothing brand Aplomb. The initial launch includes the original sweats that are very comfortable and can fit anyone! I personally love wearing mine for both loungewear and to workout.
The mission behind his brand is also very special and dear to my heart. As a mom of three young adults/teenagers, I feel strongly about the importance of feeling comfortable in who you are and projecting confidence into the world.
Aplomb - self- confidence or assurance, especially in a demanding situation.
I invite you to check the link to his store in my Bio and become part of the support community of this young entrepreneur!
