Commissioned art by yours truly
Oh Levon, you have my heart !! Thank you to my loyal friends for keeping my pencils sharp 🫶
Here are a few special works created for a very special couple! We met and discussed their vision, which included imagery of San Juan Capistrano, the site of their upcoming nuptials- congratulations to you, both 😍 People, pets or places, painting is my love language! Thank you for your support 🎨🙏🏼💜
Another and a couple digital designs for the band. I’m much more comfortable with a paintbrush than an iPencil, but I’m always looking for new ways to create.
This baby. Is. So. CUTE! I repeated that phrase constantly while trying to capture his sweet, smooth skin, bright eyes and those LASHES! Thank you Colleen💗
Latest commission complete! If you are looking for something special for the holidays, now is the time to reach out! I have room for one or two, but I am always available to create gift certificates! Please message me with any questions.
I have room for maybe one or two more commissions for Christmas, and I am happy to make gift certificates for holiday gifts as well! Send me a message if you’re looking for something special!
Which way should it hang?! Loving these uniPosca markers! 🎨👌🌿
What direction is best? Really digging these uni Posca paint markers! 🎨👌 # madeyoulook
I can’t believe I forgot to share this beauty in the “Winner Circle”! Ride high, Cassidy 🤎 It is a joy to create works like this for my dear friends and clients. Thank you for your trust!
Who doesn’t love a thunderhead rising up in a summer sky?! I’ve been busy in All aspects, but especially in the studio. The last 2 images were part of and Art-chitecture show last week.

Watercolor work by Oscar, pen and marker by me. When everything else feels out of control, creating something out of nothing feels powerful. What are you doing to cope? with
We lost so much this year. Patience, innocence, time, precious lives... and it’s OK to mourn it. Christmas had beautiful moments, but don’t think for a second we didn’t think about the ones who weren’t with us to celebrate. I want to thank you for those who allowed me to memorialize their loved ones this season. It breaks my heart over and over again, but knowing that it will bring some joy makes it all worth it. To a hopeful and kinder 2021💙
“When you are joyous, look deep into your heart and you shall find it is only that which has given you sorrow that is giving you joy.
When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.” -the Prophet, on Sorrow and Joy, Kahlil Gibran
Dreaming big over here. I had an idea I wanted to put out into the ether and see where it takes me.
I would love to do a series of portraits inspired by local writers and their work. Songs, poems, short stories, I’m open to any and all suggestions. I have a few people in mind, but I’d love to illustrate a body of work centered on our South Dakota creative community. My aspirations are leaning toward an exhibition with performances by said writers, and maybe one day a published book.
Please, DM if you are interested or have suggestions, and feel free to share. Our stories inform the world, and help us empathize with one another. I want to be a part of that conversation. ✌️🎨🌏
Happy girl for a dear friend 💛🌈
Illustrating a real-life love story was a dream! 💞Jacqueline set the scene and the mood, and left me to recreate the magic ✨🌙✨ Happy Anniversary, you lovebirds. Thanks for letting me be a part of it!

A recent watercolor commission. It’s my honor to paint your happy places and faces. Thank you to all my awesome clients, for your projects and your patience! Covid allowed for more time at home for a while, and also created some crushing anxiety. I appreciate the time and space to make something special and heartfelt for you while caring for my family and myself. 💙✌️
Puppy painting for a dear friend on her birthday: a love story 💚
@ Sioux Falls, South Dakota
I needed to paint for the joy of it last night. Jon knew I needed some time for myself to practice, to listen to music alone, to ruminate on the lyrics and paint for therapy’s sake, so he gave me the space to do so. That is an act of love ❤️ These lil’ fungi’s make me happy, and I hope they do the same for you ! 🍄 @ Sioux Falls, South Dakota
A super sweet doggo for super sweet people. 💙 Happy Sunday!
Good morning from my sunny spot and happy place! ☀️🎨 Most of you know me, but some may not, so I figured I should introduce myself.
I’m Erin. I attended K-12 in Brandon SD, Concordia college in Moorhead and Augustana College in Sioux Falls where I achieved my BFA with a focus on painting. I have worked in various small businesses in downtown Sioux Falls since graduation, most of which centered around the arts. I’ve been a metal artist, a fiber, fine, and craft art peddler, a florist, a historian of sorts, a finally a frame designer and builder. I’ve been blessed to have been trained by incredibly gifted artists like my dad, who taught me most of what I know about portraiture, and inspired by a community of passionate creatives here in South Dakota.
My husband Jon and our two beautiful boys Oscar and Arthur are my muses. Many a song have been written about them over the almost 10 years I’ve played music with the . I’m looking forward to writing with them again soon 🎶🌈
I’m grateful to have my little home studio where I paint and draw commissioned portraits and places and the occasional piece for gallery exhibits. Gift giving is my love language, and having the ability to share it with you brings me so much joy! Thank you to all of you who have supported me over the years.
Stay strong out there, friends, and reach out here or at [email protected] if I can make you something special! 🎁 🖼 🎨
Making and sending these cards has been a little like therapy for me lately. And who doesn’t love a little ?! What is getting you all through as you wait this thing out?
Dear Friends and Family ✨
The time has come - I finally made a FB page for my artwork! But I really need your help!
If you have an original Castle (or Toft!) work of art, would you Please share a photo of it here on my new page, with a little backstory of why it is special to you? It has been such a pleasure creating paintings and drawings for many of you over the years - portraits of your families, your pets, your homes - and I’m honored to have made you something you can look upon with fondness, for a lifetime.
Thank you for your support and your trust! I look forward to continuing to create these pieces for as long as I am able! 💚🎨👩🎨
