In just 24 hours the polls will be closed and all that will be left is the count. I am so grateful for my husband, my life partner, my campaign advisor, my cook and chauffer, and a million other jobs... He has faithfully walked every step with me so that we could say we did our very best. Our little joke each night was that we followed the rules our mother's set up - 'when the street lights came on, it was time to go home'! It is time to take this campaign home now! It is in God's hands, and by His will....

If you live in the SF area and are looking for a quick list of who are the conservative candidates on your ballot (especially for those Precinct positions that you may not recognize) ... Here is a great reference guide!

BTW... Precinct 4-12 is my precinct. Kurt and I are running for Committee Woman and Man, and so are Dana & Jason Weate. We are both endorsed by the Patriot Ripple Effect, and we are the only candidates for those positions. They just didn't list us since you can't lose either way. (That is why you don't see our names on the flier...) Kurt and I fully support a vote for Dana & Jason! They are fantastic, true conservatives, and would represent you well at the state convention this month!

We are up on the Electronic Billboard at a couple of locations in D-14! So exciting (and a little strange) to see yourself up there! We are coming in strong for the election on Tuesday, June 7. Our volunteers are really knocking this out of the park, and Kurt and I are having a great time meeting all the great voters in our district!

Today I started the day at the Military Alliance building where they had a fantastic program that honored those who have served our country in the armed service. Both Kurt and I have many family members who have served in the varies branches. This includes my husband, my son, both of our fathers, Kurt's brothers, and many of our uncles. In this picture, my husband is standing to be recognized for his service. I am very proud of this history and look forward to doing what I can for our vets when I am elected to our State House of Representatives! Thank a service man for his service today!

Having worked the Voter Polls over the years, I believe it is an honor to be able to go in person and vote on Election Day.
However, sometimes things happen in life that we need to either do an early vote or an absentee vote. No matter how you do it, you do not want to miss out on your chance to cast a ballot to let your voice be heard!

I hope that if you live in District 14, you will vote Gina Schiferl on the Republican ticket for the House of Representatives in the Primary on June 7!

If you would like to see a copy of the Sample Ballot or find out where your precinct voting location is, follow this link:
https://vip.sdsos.gov/VIPLogin.aspx

If you want to vote Early or Absentee Ballots, here is some info for you:
* For In-Person Voting: Visit the Minnehaha County Auditor's office at 415 N Dakota Avenue, Sioux Falls.
* For questions/information on Absentee Voting:
https://sdsos.gov/elections-voting/voting/absentee-voting.aspx
* For Absentee Voting: You can request your ballot by mail by filling out the form found here:https://sdsos.gov/.../assets/AbsenteeApplication_202012.PDF

Thank you for voting Gina Schiferl for SD House of Representatives!

Last weekend, I was honored to be able to work with these ladies who stood out in the rain for 4 hours correcting signatures on a petition. What a great group of patriots!

This past weekend I had the opportunity to visit with Shirlee Meier and Dave Schneider about the Convention of the States. It was very informative and a great chance to get my questions answered. I support the Convention of States Project because it is a national effort to simply call for a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution. It would be restricted to proposing amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress. If you have questions about it, see: https://conventionofstates.com

It has been another fun and exciting week and we are getting closer to the elections every day! If only I could find more hours in my day! But I want to share with you another opportunity to get to know me or any other Candidates running in Minnehaha County. Please show up and let me know you are there! These are really a lot of fun!

“Conservatives don’t run for office or support campaigns simply to win, they run for office to protect their fundamental beliefs and the right to practice them. Their motives go far beyond partisan politics.”

Faith has always been an important part of who I am and what I do. And my faith plays a huge part in why I made the decision to run for SD House! Some may wonder if our personal faith should even play a part in politics. I believe it is critical and should be a deciding factor in who you vote for.

As a Christian, there are many beliefs that are foundational in dictating what I say, do and how I make my decisions. We were given the bible with teachings that call us to a higher level of behavior. It teaches us to love one another, to do good, and not harm, what behavior is wrong, and it challenges us to go the extra mile. It tells us to whom much is given, much is expected. It teaches me to use wisdom and gives me a way to seek it when I do not know what is best.

You can count on me to use the Bible's wisdom, along with our Constitution and the lessons of our country's history as the fundamental measuring sticks for all my decisions when I am elected.

As I have observed history, it seems to me that for too long, the church has stood back and had too little involvement in politics. (Contrary to our founding of the country,) If we do not evaluate who represents us in the seat of government, then those who do not hold similar beliefs will be making the decisions according to their "measuring sticks". We are seeing liberal bills and woke agendas at all levels of our government because we are allowing too many without similar morals run the agenda. Someone has to stand in the gap to assure we follow these biblical principles. That is why I am running for District 14.

Last Sunday our church recognized the candidates who were running for upcoming elections. I am seen here with Pastor Ray, Sarah Cole (who won a seat on the City Council this week) and with my good friend Senator Maggie Sutton (who is an inspiration to me!).

I "stumbled upon VitaLife" a year and a half ago. I thought I would NEVER do another diet since I had been so disappointed in the process of losing weight. I am not wearing a bikini, but I lost close to 100 #'s and have kept most of that off during this time. Do I recommend VitaLife? You bet I do! They are the BEST!

Yesterday was a long day, but a great day! (I snaped this picture at the end of the day.) Kurt and I were honored to work the polling place for our precinct, Precinct 04-12 in District 14.

I always feel honored when I am able to work the polls. I have processed Absentee Ballots, been a Deputy, and been the Superintendent several times. The first time that I worked was when we lived in Hughes County (by Pierre). I was informed that there were no workers for our Precinct for the upcoming elections, so I was asked to be the Superintendent.

We always talk about what and honor and a responsibility it is to Vote! Yesterday we saw several people that indicated that they felt the same way. There are many places in the world where elections are not Free and Fair! This is the crux of our freedom, so it is essential that we respect and exercise our duty responsibly. I believe we have some great laws in SD but hope to work on cleaning up some issues that we have by passing good legislation that will assure that we continue to protect our SD Vote!

Vote June 7 for the Primary and November 8 for the General!

Tucker Convoy! This photo above was from the Freedom Trucker Convoy that stopped in Sioux Falls on their way from Washington state to Washington D.C. on March 1, 2022. I was honored to be able to be there and show my support of these great Americans!

We have another Trucker convoy coming through Sioux Falls on Monday, March 28 on their way to D.C. They should arrive about 11 am and leave around 1:00 pm. I will be helping with the brown bag meals that we will be providing for them. If you are able to come cheer them on, come to Loves on North Cliff with your flags and family (please park on public streets so there is room for the trucker rigs)!

Every year I am honored to be able to go with the Family Heritage Alliance group for our Action Day in Pierre. It is a full day of events and time spent lobbying. This year I was honored to have lunch with District 14's Senator in the Rotunda. (You can find me in this picture in the second row, right behind PUC Chris Nelson and Secretary of State Steve Barnett).

02/18/2022

In the last few weeks, I have made a couple of trips to Pierre to talk to our legislators about issues that I believe are important to the people of SD. Here is the group that was at the Capitol for the SD Right to Life Walk for Life and Hour of Reflection. Several said this was the largest ever.

OK, so this breaks the mold as far as campaign pictures go! 😀 It definitely is not the most flattering picture with my windblown hair and all, but it is part of the story! Sunday, I joined the Right to Life March in Pierre! My first March for Life was in 1978. We are still marching to protect the unborn, but there was a renewed energy this time with the feeling that there is hope on the horizon! I was encouraged to see so many young ones participating, and this was the biggest march that SD has ever had. South Dakota has done a great job in protecting our unborn, but the work is not done. Send me to Pierre and I will stand in support of protecting our children - born and unborn!

It was a busy weekend for me on the campaign trail this weekend. Saturday morning, I shared breakfast with some great families as I listened to the different options that families have (and don't have) in SD for schooling their children. We listened to a couple presentations and had some very lively and educational discussions. (Listening and watching all the little ones was just plain fun for me as well!) I want to hear your thoughts and am ready to get to work!
