Thank you to everyone who attended our annual Coyote Clinic Volunteer Appreciation Banquet! We truly cannot thank all of our amazing volunteer physicians, residents, students, and committee members who make our clinic’s work possible!🤩🌟🩺

A special thank you to Dr. Kevin Whittle, our keynote speaker. Dr. Whittle has been a physician volunteer since Coyote Clinic first began in 2006. Dr. Whittle has volunteered thousands of hours over the years and Coyote Clinic would not be what it is today without his service.❤️

We also recognized our top student volunteers. Brianne Haskell-Hanisch, Helean Barwari, John Slunecka, Avery Franzen, Colton Carlson, and Tayler Modlin were awarded for their dedication and service to Coyote Clinic. Thank you for your dedication to caring for patients and mentoring medical students!🌟☺️

And of course we had to get a selfie with our amazing Dean. Dr. Ridgway provides endless support for Coyote Clinic and our mission to provide healthcare to our community’s members.❤️🩺☺️

This weekend, members of the Coyote Clinic steering committee attended and presented their clinical research at the 2023 Society of Student-Run Free Clinics of Student Run Free Clinics Annual Conference in Minneapolis, MN. We had the BEST weekend sharing our work, meeting students from across the US, and gathering new ideas to implement in our clinic.🤩🌟

We are so proud of our team who presented 3 posters and 2 oral presentations. We even spent time with Annika van Oosbree, Coyote Clinic’s former Vice Chair and the current SSRFC Research & Publication Co-Chair.

Special thank you to Avera Health for providing funding for us to attend the conference. We are so grateful for the opportunity to share the work being done at Coyote Clinic. We brought back SO many new ideas from the meeting and we can’t wait to continue to grow our clinic and improve access to healthcare in our community.🩺❤️

We administered 27 flu vaccinations and took many blood pressure and blood glucose readings today at the Feria de Salud!💉🩺
