Chiropractic is so much more than just getting "cracked."

Chiropractic removes interference and improves how your body functions in every aspect - from your mind to your immune system to your hormone regulation and every process in your body.

Don't get adjusted only when you "hurt." Only 10% of your nerves feel pain whereas 90% control FUNCTION.

Here at Inspired, we are all about helping your body function the way it was designed!

Did you know your lymphatic system plays a crucial role in your immune system? Your lymphatic system helps deliver nutrients while removing waste, toxins and infection.

Movement helps circulate fluid in your lymphatic system. When you are feeling under the weather, it’s important to listen to your body - move when you are able and rest when you need to.

But doing some type of movement will help your body fight off sickness:
- Take a light walk (even in your house!)
- Do rebounding on a trampoline (light jumping for 5-15 minutes)
- Stretch or do easy yoga
- Use a dry brush (use a firm, dry bristle brush and do 7-9 strokes on each part of the body, always toward the heart)

Our culture is all about taking a supplement for this ailment or looking for a quick fix for that health concern. But that is not healing from the inside out. It's covering up the root problem without finding true, full healing.

Food can be an interference that prevents our body from functioning the way it was designed. So if we continue to ingest toxic foods, no supplement will bring the healing we are looking for.

Instead, focus on removing the toxic foods from your life - like processed foods, added sweeteners, GMO foods, food dyes, conventional meat & dairy. And then add in nutrient dense, whole foods that are as close to the way God designed as possible.

Remember, food is first!

One of the most important times for a woman to be receiving chiropractic care is during pregnancy! From the moment of conception the female body goes through several remarkable changes. Chiropractic care helps adjust to the countless changes that take place all throughout pregnancy.

Here are a few of the benefits of chiropractic care during pregnancy:

1️⃣ Relief from back pain - As a pregnant woman’s belly grows, the body tends to compensate. This can put strain on the low back and can cause pain. Regular adjustments remove misalignments and alleviates the pressure that can be causing pain.

2️⃣ Proper pelvic alignment- chiropractic care helps establish pelvic balance. Preventing pelvic misalignments is important for the proper position of baby and to prepare for labor.

3️⃣ Posture support- Through continuing with consistent adjustments and following Dr. Neil’s recommendations for homecare exercises throughout pregnancy, it is possible to maintain good posture throughout pregnancy and prevent potential injuries.

4️⃣ Improved sleep- as adjustments remove interference to support a healthy pregnancy and help alleviate the common discomforts, pregnant women find they sleep much better.

5️⃣ Optimal position for baby- chiropractors reported 82% success in turning babies from the breech position to an optimal position prior to labor.

6️⃣ Reduce Hip Pain & Discomfort- as pregnancy progresses, more strain is placed on the hips and hips widen to prepare for birth. This can be painful for some women but receiving chiropractic care helps keep the hips in the right alignment to ease the pain or discomfort.

7️⃣ Faster labor times & fewer interventions in labor- As chiropractic adjustments help remove interference and keep the pelvis in alignment, women find labor progresses well and fewer interventions are needed to lead to a healthy birth.

Children being exposed to traditional hand sanitizer poses many risks. An article on PubMed states:

“Skin irritation, dryness, cracking, peeling, hypoglycemia, apnea, and acidosis are examples of unintended consequences of hand sanitizer. Sanitizer reportedly kills normal microbial flora on hands, which usually promotes innate immunity among children under 12. Children are more susceptible to the toxicity associated with the chemical constituents of marketed chemical-based hand sanitizers… because of their sensitive and delicate skin.”

Since children’s skin is more sensitive and delicate, it is crucial to be cautious of anything you put on it. When it comes to hand sanitizer, choose better options that don’t contain any toxic chemicals or kill all the good bacteria along with the bad.

Here are a few good options:

✅ Dr. Bronner’s Organic Hand Sanitizer
✅ doTERRA’s OnGuard Hand Sanitizer
✅ Honest Free & Clear Hand Sanitizer
✅ Homemade Hand Sanitizer (recipe included in picture!)

With school back in session, send a better hand sanitizer with your child and avoid consistent exposure to toxic chemicals!

Birth is traumatic on a baby's spine- both a natural birth or with interventions. Getting a newborn adjusted removes interference so his/her body can develop the way it was designed.

Bryson came to see Dr. Neil for his second adjustment. Although Bryson doesn't realize it yet, he will be forever grateful his parents prioritized his health from the very start!

Do you pack lunch everyday for you or your kids? Consider what types of containers you use to package food…

❓Did you know, some chemicals can leach into food when stored in plastic containers or bags. These chemicals have been found to cause cancer, weakened immune systems, organ problems, and developmental delays in children.

Invest in some nontoxic lunch containers! Here are some good options 👉

Backpack overload can cause strain in the neck, back, and shoulders. Carrying a backpack that is too heavy distorts the curve in your child’s spine, forces them to lean forward, and leads to rounding their shoulders. All of these are bad positions for a healthy spine.

Children or teens also tend to carry their backpack on one shoulder, which causes muscle imbalance as they lean to one side in order to compensate for the weight.

As school is about to start and your child will be wearing a backpack almost daily, make sure they are wearing it properly by following these tips:

🎒use both straps and a waist strap to add increased support.
🎒adjust the shoulder straps so the backpack fits high on the back and above your hips.
🎒ensure that your backpack isn’t too heavy (less than 10% of your child’s weight) and has equally distributed weight.
🎒make sure the backpack is the right size - no wider than your child’s chest.
🎒avoid wearing the backpack all day - leave it in your locker or set it on the floor.

We regularly see that routine adjustments for kids lead to strong immune systems!

As school is around the corner and fall is typically the time of year where sickness increases, taking care of your child's nervous system is the best thing you can do to help their immune system function the way it was designed - to fight off infection.

Great job Ephron & Hilary, for prioritizing health for your whole family!

Do your homecare exercises in front of your kids so they see an example of what it looks like to maintain a healthy spine.

It is recommended for kids to start homecare exercises around the age of 13, but it also depends on the size of the child, his/her spine along with physical and mental maturity. Ask Dr. Neil when your child can start a routine of homecare exercises!

Do you struggle trying to get your kids to eat healthy foods? Here are some tips to try as you incorporate healthy eating for your entire family:

1️⃣ Be a role model ➡️ Kids watch what you eat. Keep the same healthy standards for the entire family and choose healthy, well-rounded meals and snacks.

2️⃣ Eat together as a family and don’t offer other options ➡️ Make a variety of healthy meals and don’t make different food for the kids. Encourage them to try new things.

3️⃣ Let kids help with meal prep ➡️ Involve kids in prepping, cooking, & cleaning up from meals as is appropriate for their age. This exposes them to how much work it is to put a meal on the table.

4️⃣ Address picky eating early ➡️ It may take up to 15 times exposing your kids to a food before they like it. Enforce a three-bite rule: your kid must take three bites of a food to at least give it a chance.

5️⃣ Control what food comes into your home ➡️ You might not be able to control what is offered to your kids outside your home but you can control the foods you purchase and allow into your home. Avoid processed, high-sugar, & artificially colored foods and beverages.

6️⃣ Explain to your kids what it means to eat healthy ➡️ Teaching your kids in a simple way the importance of eating healthy can help empower them to make good decisions about food outside your home. Use phrases like this:
💪 Protein is to help build strong muscles.
🍬 Sugar is bad for your tummy and too much can make you sick.
🥦 Vegetables are full of vitamins and minerals to help you grow big and prevent you from getting sick.

7️⃣ Prioritize water ➡️ Avoid juice or soda and encourage your kids to drink water to stay hydrated.
