What is FASD?
- Spectrum of overlapping effects due to maternal alcohol consumption during pregnancy
- Includes physical, mental, behavioral, and/or learning disabilities
- Lifelong implications
- FASD is an umbrella term, not a clinical diagnosis
- Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS), Partial FAS (PFAS), Alcohol-Related Neurodevelopmental Disorder (ARND) and Alcohol-Related Birth Defects (ARBD)] ARE the clinical diagnoses
