Meet ACE Ambassador Azam Shaik!! 🥳 Azam is a senior from Hyderabad, India studying Data Science, Quantitative Econ, and Finance.

His advice for new international students is, "People are your best resource - whether it’s friends, professors, mentors, or colleagues, the relationships you build will support and enrich your college experience, helping you grow and succeed together!"

Meet ACE Ambassador Pedro da Rocha Borin!! ⭐ Pedro is a senior from Joinville, SC - Brazil studying Biology and Bioinformatics.

His advice for new international students is, "FEEL IT. Allow yourself to fully experience the moment. Embrace all the emotions you are feeling, because they all have importance. Being emotional is not a sign of weakness but a reflection that you are full of life."

Meet ACE Ambassador Amina Koch!! 📣 Amina is a junior from Sioux Falls, South Dakota studying English and Spanish.

Her advice for new international students is, "Don't hesitate to reach out to your professors—there are so many who love having students visit them during their office hours and are invested in actively helping you grow as a student. Those connections are one of the best parts of Augustana!"

Meet ACE Ambassador Sophie Johnson!! 👏 Sophie is a junior from the U.S. and the Bahamas studying International Government and International Studies.

Her advice for new international students is, "Be comfortable with the uncomfortable! Don't forget to bring some of your favorite spices from home :)"

Meet ACE Ambassador Mykenzie Farley!!👏 Mykenzie is a junior from Beresford, South Dakota studying Psychology.

Her advice for new international students is, "Don’t be scared to put yourself out there and meet new people! Get involved around campus as much as possible! Try new things!"

Meet ACE Ambassador Liliana Lorenzo!! 🤩 Liliana is a senior from Lawrence, Kansas studying American Sign Language Interpreting.

Her advice for new international students is, "Make an effort to meet people early in the year so you will have a support system if you get homesick!"

Her advice for new international students is, "Don't hesitate to ask questions when you need help. Everyone is friendly and supportive!"

Her advice for new international students is, "Everything is hard before it gets easy. If you get tired, learn to rest, not to quit!"

Her advice for new international students is, "Enjoy every first experience you have around campus, only once will you have “the first time feeling”!

Her advice for new international students is, "College presents us with challenges we don't expect, and we all struggle in our own ways. Try to open up and connect with one person (or more!) that you can share with, trust, and spend time with to make the college experience less stressful."
