The Elk Point Bridge repair is coming together beautifully! Our dedicated SFC Civil Constructors crew is working hard to build a new bridge to ensure smoother rides, safer travels, and a stronger community connection for the Elk Point area.

Daniel James is the new Project Manager for Journey Construction, Special Projects. He brings over 11 years of experience and is also a U.S. Navy veteran with six years of experience as a nuclear mechanic and engineering laboratory technician. As project manager, Daniel will plan all phases of building construction projects.

Adam Joachim spoke at the Build Dakota Scholarship Signing Day and shared his experience with the program in an interview with KELOLAND News, highlighting the significant impact it has had on his life. “The state is doing a lot of great things to help people stay in state and work for South Dakota,” Adam explained.

Today we welcome Cody Murphy! Cody is the new Superintendent for Journey Construction. He will provide onsite coordination for all phases of commercial construction projects and work with the project managers and project engineers to coordinate construction efforts. Welcome, Cody!

Michael Gruber is the new Project Engineer for Black-Top Paving. With eight years of experience, he brings knowledge in bidding and estimation, teaching, management, fundraising, and problem-solving. As a Project Engineer, Michael will assist the leadership team in the daily operations of the BTP crew.

Carter Nelson is the new Marketing & Graphic Design Intern for Journey Group. Carter is part of the Marketing and Communications department and will assist the team with designing and developing marketing materials and provide support for social and digital media, sales, communication strategies, and traditional marketing needs.
