General Function: Perform scheduled services and repairs to equipment including; motor coaches, man lifts, service trucks, and shop tools and equipment during the operating season. Perform major repairs to above equipment during off season.

Minimum Qualifications:
· Prior experience or formal education/training in maintaining and repairing diesel engines, air brakes, chassis, and electrical on heavy equipment and (preferably) motor coaches. Applicants must provide and use their own basic hand tools.
· Certified as physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle according to a U.S. Dept. of Transportation physical and NIDA urinalysis drug screen. Candidates must be willing to submit to pre-employment, random, post-accident, and just cause drug & alcohol testing.
· Possess a valid driver’s license and a good, safe driving record (no more than one moving violation or “at fault” accident in the last three years). DUI, DWI, negligent or reckless driving convictions automatically disqualify the applicant. Successful applicants will be asked to provide a current (no older than 30 days) copy of his/her Motor Vehicle Record.
· Must be able to lift and move a minimum of 50 lbs. Employees must be able to sit, stand, walk, balance, kneel, crawl, see, talk, and hear.
· Employees must be able to work in harsh weather conditions for long hours on a variable schedule.
Duties / Responsibilities:
· Through training and leadership, gain understanding of systems and maintenance needs for all vehicles in fleet, in order to facilitate safety of passengers, and high levels of operation for the equipment.
· Routine duties will include, but are not limited to changing oils, fluids and filters, conducting l**e jobs and minor repairs such as replacing light bulbs, tires, repairing leaks, etc.
· Work with operations manager to establish a routine system to identify mechanical defects in equipment and implement repairs as needed. Prioritize and perform year-round maintenance and repairs to include diesel engine repair, air brakes, air suspension, chassis, electrical systems, transmissions, air conditioning systems, body repairs, etc.
• Review the daily vehicle reports submitted by drivers; troubleshoot and repair any issues that arise in day to day operation. Work with drivers in gaining understanding of general systems of all equipment, so that they may facilitate safety and achieve high levels of operation for the equipment that they operate.
• Gain understanding of pertinent Federal and State DOT regulations and integrate routine compliance into all aspects of work. Complete all related paperwork in a professional, accurate, consistent and timely manner.
• Maintain open, clear and positive communication regarding all aspects of vehicle maintenance and safety with Operations team, and drivers.
Requirements:
• Excellent analytical and communications ability, both verbal and written.
• Organized and detailed oriented.
• Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management.
• Leadership ability.
• Ability to handle difficult client and driver interactions.
• Must be a "self-starter" with strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize.
• Proven work experience as operations manager or similar role.
• Must be computer savvy.
• 3+ years of operations management experience within the transportation industry.
• CDL class B with Passenger endorsement.
• Customer service experience.
• Transportation/Tourism experience is plus.
• Ability to successfully negotiate and influence the actions of others.
• Updated resume will be required.
Responsibilities:
• Management of 20+ vehicles and 20+ employees.
• Recruit, train and supervise staff.
• Creating weekly operator schedule.
• Review schedule in advance to ensure coverage and confirmations are in place.
• Formulate strategic and operational objectives.
• Manage and create standard operating procedures in accordance with Federal, state, and local regulations.
• Work with maintenance team to ensure safe operations of vehicles.
• Assist in the identification and implementation of continuous operational improvement opportunities.
• Handle all escalated operations issues.
• Develop, administer and maintain an aggressive safety program.
• Prepare and submit applicable worker's compensation, vehicle accident and equipment reports.
• Oversee driver DOT safety and compliance requirements.
• Act as a company liaison to passengers, clients and partners.

Job Description
The Sitka Sound Cruise Terminal is looking for a Seasonal Full-Time Facilities Attendant/Janitor.
-April 15th through October 1st

Facilities Attendant will ensure that all port facilities are cleaned and sanitized and must wear all provided and necessary PPE in accordance with position and OSHA requirement.
Qualifications / Licenses and Certifications:
-Effectively communicate in English
-Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals, and employee handbooks
Position Summary Details
-Provides the cleaning and upkeep of port grounds and facilities.
Essential Functions
-Cleans and maintains buildings/facilities.
-Performs heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.
-Notifies managers concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems
-Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.
-Complies with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities
-Cleaner must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned.
Qualifications
-Must be 18 years of age or older
Line Handler needed for tying up cruise ships. This is manual work involved in the securing and removing of ship's dock lines at the Port.
Work involves pulling lines from ships attempting to dock and dragging lines to bollards on docks and slipping eyes of docking lines over bollards.
Work also involves driving vehicles to pull the vessel's lines when docking and removal of vessel's lines when departing.
Duties include:
- Pulling and throwing heaving lines from ships docking/sailing.
- Pulling mooring lines down the dock and securing to bollards.
- Removing mooring lines from bollards.
- Performs related work as required
- must be able to lift 50lbs
- Climbing of ladders required
