These were so fun to make!
Earlier today I did an Instagram live walkthrough at my pottery studio.
I have had an idea rattling around in my head for most of this year about starting a membership for creative souls. My intention is it’ll be a little bit creative, a little bit of journaling, possibly some inner child reconnection, some spiritual topics and maybe even a little woo-magic in the mix. I’d originally planned to launch Oct 16, but life happened and the launch didn’t. I’m just doing a soft plug about it here. You can join my mailing list for more information. I’ll likely do my official launch next month, but if this sounds like a heck yes for you, then there is a link to my teachable page in my link tree (link below).

Sometimes the simplest things in nature can be so beautiful. 🥰
I had a request for all of these together.

I posted this over on Instagram earlier but since awhile ago my IG started cross posting to my personal page instead of here I figured I’d manually share it here too. Maybe it’ll be helpful to someone. It’s not exactly art related, but well, it’s all connected I suppose.
Sharing a message from my morning meditation, a way to energetically imagine or invite our spiritual and material selves to more fully connect in our body.
Meet me for an oracle card reading and/or 30-minute coaching session on zoom.
It’ll be a lot of fun to explore the answer to your burning question using oracle cards or by talking it through with my wise ol’ crone self.

It’s going to be a fun weekend with Colette and the “Woo Crew”! I went last year, too. It was magical. Woot! 🥳🦄
Waiting for the parade! Happy Fourth of July! 🇺🇸🎆
A closer look at collage papers. I used acrylic paint, inks, watercolor, graphite, distress crayons, stamps, ink pads, stencils, tracing paper, finger painting paper, kids watercolor paper, sketch paper.

I’m signed up to paint along with Whitney Freya for 24 hours over solstice weekend. I wonder if I can do it? Want to join me? Here’s a link to join in the painting fun. https://whitneyfreyastudio.com/p/24hourpaintjam?affcode=146549_y9epvt1a
#24HourPaintJam Let’s BE Unstoppable Together
I recorded myself experimenting with making watercolor prints using the foam board. I didn't have a great recording set up so please excuse how I get in the way of the camera at times. I had mixed results with using watercolor for this, but I had lotsa fun exploring. Hang out while with me for about 17 minutes to see how it goes.

Have you ever made prints from scratchboard foam? It’s so fun!
Hello friends,
I have not posted here on my arts page lately. I have big dreams of creating artsy programs for you but have not narrowed them down quite yet.
In the meantime, I have been having some fun learning how to play my drum, which has been so soul-nourishing.
I learned this song in a drum class I'm taking from Larisa Gosla so I thought I'd share it here for you. I don’t know if she wrote this or if someone else did. I recorded it to share in the drum class group, hence my mention of being a little behind.
To me the song is a prayer to Mother Earth, her elements and directions, and the heyyas feel as a call to heaven.
Anyway, hope you enjoy my venture into drumming. What have you been doing lately, just for fun?
Happy Sunday! I managed to stay in my jammies until 5 pm so far. It’s been quiet meditation time in the morning, then puttered around straightening up my office and I sat and made marks in a watercolor journal. Think I’ll shower and maybe do some laundry before dinner. Pretty sweet Sunday so far. 🥰
I hung my Green Tara painting up next to my bed. It’s was really the only sort of blankish wall in my house. I could probably keep refining and refining her but at some point I just had to decide that she was done. And, of course, if she starts telling me something more is needed then I will oblige. I wonder if I will sleep better with Tara there.

I just finished a 22 day Tara painting challenge with my mentor . I made a little video of the progress of my painting. I didn’t know anything about Tara when I started. She is a female Buddha, meditation deity. Most who follow me know that I am a Baha’i, not a Buddhist. I enjoyed learning more about Tara and her various emanations and her divine feminine strength. Bahá’ís believe in progressive revelation. It is accepting of all major religions knowing that God has consistently sent prophets and divine messengers to guide mankind throughout time. So I was happy to connect with a Buddhist means of tuning into our own higher guidance. It was a beautiful experience and left me feeling very peaceful within my being.

Happy International Day of Peace! Sept 21. May all beings find peace.
Day 12 of 22 Day Tara painting Meditation Challenge. Orange Poverty Removing Tara. She was soothing to paint, and it was funny how she made it known to me that she wanted red lips.
I’d used the wooden end of my paintbrush to make some marks. A few minutes later I accidentally touched the end of my brush to my lips, and I’m like oh my gosh there was red paint on my lips.
I get the message, Orange Poverty Removing Tara. Red lips it is!
Still may be a work in progress but getting closer

“O Son of Being!
With the hands of power I made thee and with the fingers of strength I created thee; and within thee have I placed the essence of My light. Be thou content with it and seek naught else, for My work is perfect and My command is binding. Question it not, nor have a doubt thereof.”

I'm signed up for Whitney Freya's new course and super excited to begin this 22-day painting challenge while learning about and exploring the different aspects of the goddess, Tara. There's still time to join us and let your creative heart paint!

22 Day Tara Painting Challenge Meditation, Teaching, Painting, Challenge, 22-day,
I was straightening up my office, dusting my alter areas and decided to burn some sage to clear out energies that no longer serve. I opened the window to give energies a way out, and I saw that my peace lily made a bloom! It’s been one of my plant companions in my office for years but it’s never bloomed. I’m so happy it decided to bloom. Feeling blessed! 😍🥰
I took a mixed media workshop today
Just saying hello
Happy Solstice! And ... Juneteenth (yesterday), new moon, eclipse and Father's Day weekend. After I gab a little, I'll read an excerpt from a book (I'll put a link in the comments).
Still a work in progress. I’ve been painting a little bit on it now and then but it’s not quite done. The colors in this painting feel so joyful to me. I wish I could be magical like Mary Poppins and just jump right in!
I wanted to pop in on my page to say that, through the end of June, I’m minimizing time spent on Facebook. I’m making space in my overstimulated brain to do some planning on upcoming class and/or coaching offerings.
I’ll be back before you even notice that I’m gone. Stay safe and take care.
Someone asked me recently what I do with the cards I pull. I often leave them sitting at my desk for awhile as I integrate the meaning and such. Sometimes I make a copy and paste it into my journal. Other times, I try to recreate the card into my journal myself. This one I used Micron marker, water soluable oil pastels, colored inks and a paint pen. It’s interesting that the colors are so similar to the painting I’ve been working on lately.
I started this canvas weeks ago (the top one) and the last few nights finally got back to it. I spent a few minutes the last few nights and added a little more color (middle picture) and last night a little more (bottom pic).
The bottom pic is how it looks right now. I'm enjoying the cheerful colors that have appeared. I wonder what will happen next.
I started this painting after a "rainbow bridge" meditation we had done in my training. Eventually I will be experimenting with leading meditations such as that and/or some little painting sessions over in the private group attached to this page. If either of those sound interesting, feel free to join the group. I've been very quiet in there so far but hopefully will begin "practicing" in there.
The other day I made a YouTube channel. Not too much to see there yet but yesterday I did have fun playing with watercolors and posting it there. 🙂
