Uvalde police officers ‘exonerated’ of wrongdoing, city’s investigation recommends 03/08/2024

The cover-up continues. The cowardice continues. And the impunity continues.

This is why having law enforcement and former law enforcement grade its own homework is evidence of a a desire to hide bad acts. This needs to change.

The DOJ Report in this case is far and away more honest and reliable.

US citizen arrested crossing border back into America from Mexico in taxi with $130,000 of fentanyl 03/01/2024

For those easily distracted by false narratives in the debate over crime as it related to illegal immigrants, guns, and drug trafficking -- the DEA has some bad news. Most drugs moved across the border come through legal checkpoints and are transported by US citizens. And almost all of the guns in Mexico are made in The United States, sold legally by gun stores to American citizens, and then driven south by a dedicated network that has nothing to do with illegal immigrants.

So we sell the guns and move the guns across the border; and we move the drugs and buy the drugs from across the border. Which causes the violence in Latin America and forces honest people without resources to flee.

The solution is not criminalizing them. It's creating legal pathways so that the can live legally, take non slave labor level jobs, open bank accounts, and pay taxes. Because hey aren't the problem. They are the distraction that appeals to our sense of moral superiority.

Illinois judge who reversed r**e conviction removed from bench after panel finds he circumvented law 02/25/2024

Some judges (and religious figures) are very much like this. And get sent to the bench or pulpit because they identify more with a ra**st than they do their victims. This decisions begins a path for justice that was violated by the judge in a such a fashion that I think his finances need to be investigated.

Illinois judge who reversed r**e conviction removed from bench after panel finds he circumvented law The Illinois Courts Commission removed Adams County Judge Robert Adrian from the bench Friday after it held a three-day hearing in Chicago in November on a compliant filed against Adrian. Its decision says Adrian “engaged in multiple instances of misconduct" and “abused his position of power to ...

Watch Live: Trial of Jennifer Crumbley, mother of Oxford High School shooter, continues with seventh day 02/02/2024

This is literally a very toxic, and very common, American family on trial. It is hard not to listen to the mother's testimony and fully perceive the disengagement, the selfishness, and the addictions of both parents taking a front row to everything. A trend that has been pervasive in my generation.

This kind of trial has been inevitable for some time. And I can see it leading to liability that requires new forms of insurance and related parental certification. It's been all about foreseeability.

Side note: When I was in grad school, I had a very intense exchange in class with one of my instructors -- retired FBI Profiler Max Thiel. Great guy by the way -- learned a lot from him. We were discussing teen mass shooters and parental culpability. Especially when shooter su***de was the result. I mentioned parental culpability and foreseeability -- and it literally made him angry. The very idea that parents could be held him accountable made him go over the edge, as though this was nonsense.

I told him that it was coming, because if the bodies piled up high enough someone would have to be held to account. And that it would not just be a simple premises liability issue. And that parents were first on that list.

For those unaware of what parents can now be held to account for... and what can be publicly aired and broadcast.. parents need to take a close listen to this cross-examination.

This case is changing things in real time.
