Please join us Shabbat morning for a special guest d'var Torah tomorrow with Rabbi Michael Balinsky.
Michael Balinsky is the Executive Vice President of the Chicago Board of Rabbis, an organization representing one hundred and eighty rabbis of all denominations. He is past president of the Council of Religious leaders of Metropolitan Chicago, and is a board member of the Council of the Parliament of the World’s Religions. He is also an active participant in a number of Jewish, Christian and Muslim interreligious dialogues. Rabbi Balinsky was a Hillel director for twenty-two years, over nineteen of those as the director of the Louis and Saerree Fiedler Hillel Center at Northwestern University. He was also Director of Faculty Development for the Florence Melton Adult School. He is a graduate of Yeshiva University and the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary.

This morning our youth observed fruit trees blossoms & recited Birkat Hailanot- a blessing of appreciation for enjoying fruit tree blossoms during the month of Nisan.
May we channel the hope & wonder of children at our seder tables, and may children everywhere have the freedom to play, create, blossom, and grow. 🌷🪻🌹🌻

צוּר יִשְׂרָאֵל וְגוֹאֲלוֹ,
בָּרֵךְ אֶת מְדִינַת יִשְׂרָאֵל,
רֵאשִׁית צְמִיחַת גְּאֻלָּתֵנוּ.
הָגֵן עָלֶיהָ בְּאֶבְרַת חַסְדֶּךָ,
וּפְרֹשׁ עָלֶיהָ סֻכַּת שְׁלוֹמֶךָ,
וּשְׁלַח אוֹרְךָ וַאֲמִתְּךָ
לְרָאשֶׁיהָ, שָׂרֶיהָ וְיוֹעֲצֶיהָ,

Our Father in Heaven, Rock and Redeemer of the people Israel: Bless the State of Israel, with its promise of redemption. Shield it with Your love; spread over it the shelter of Your peace. Guide its leaders and advisors with Your light and Your truth. Help them with Your good counsel. Strengthen the hands of those who defend our Holy Land. Deliver them; crown their efforts with triumph. Bless the land with peace, and its inhabitants with lasting joy. And let us say: Amen.

sukkah hop luncheon on Lincolnwood Drive on Sunday October 1 following services.We will begin with kiddush, motzei, salads, and appetizers at the Cohen's Sukkah,followed by Lunch at the Sugar's sukkah, and ending with dessert at the
Glassenberg's sukkah.
