One of the things most everyone loves is photos under the oaks covered in moss. Here’s a bit of lagniappe on this wonderfully southern subject.

"Spanish Moss is unmistakably southern. Year round, it delights the eyes of visitors and locals alike. However, it is not from Spain, nor is it a moss. The Native Americans called it Itla Okla, "tree hair." The French explorers were reminded of the long beards of the Spanish Conquestadors, so they called it Barbe Espagnol, "Spanish Beard. As time went by, it became known as Spanish Moss. It is a bromeliad, an air plant that belongs to the same family as succulents and pineapples".

There is something about pregnancy, especially for the first time, that is just so serene. Perhaps it’s simply the fact that all is still quiet, and your days & nights are mostly calm 🤭 (minus the 84 trips to the bathroom), but I like to think that we’re just more in tune and connected with ourselves and the incredible miracle that is happening. 🤰🏻💞

I love color portraits, but man I melt over a good B&W!! 🫠 They just evoke such emotion.
