Happy New Year!!

On Veterans Day, St. Tammany Chapter held a Flag Retirement Ceremony at Greenbriar Retirement Center for 18 Veterans and guests. The ceremony was conducted with the help of St. Tammany Parish Fire District 1 and the JROTC Cadets from Northshore High School. Each Veteran was presented with a framed copy of their respective branch creed, a flag pin, a small US Flag, and a Bible. American Legion Post 375 also presented each veteran with a decorated gift bag. The fire department safely retired 29 flags for the chapter. In addition the JROTC unit was presented a Certificate of Appreciation by the Louisiana Society State Committee Chair for Flag of the United States of America.

Today St. Tammany Chapter was honored to place a wreath at SE Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.

Since 1903, the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution(DAR) has been helping children in remote mountain areas receive an education. The DAR supports or assists multiple schools across the nation to bring education to those in need. Created with Canva
