Here's November!

The first thing to note is some Tuesdays will now have open hours! From 10:00am to 2:30pm and then from 3:30pm to 6:00pm, you can peruse the shelves and start stocking up on holiday gifts. Important! We will close each Tuesday from 2:30-3:30. We'll make every effort to make sure that's clear and posted.

Second, we're going to go big for Black Friday & Small Business Saturday. Open an extra 2 hours each day, expect discounts, games, activities, and new products never before seen on our shelves.

Lastly, this coming Tuesday, get out and vote! Then swing by, show me your "I Voted" sticker (or some other proof if you voted early), and get 10% off your purchase. The only rule: Do not tell me who you voted for or start a political conversation in the shop. VIOLATORS GET 10% ADDED TO THEIR PURCHASE (just kidding!). But really, we just want to encourage everyone to get to the polls.

Books are actually what help me fall asleep at night (shuts up my brain just long enough), but I love this sentiment. I, too, often have inadequate respect for tomorrow. 🤣

Anyway, I just finished reading One Day by David Nicholls. It made me mad (or sad, but also mad). Now I'm reading Butcher & Blackbird to lighten things back up...

This book is equal parts hilarity and terror. It's the exact thing my 15-year-old would've tortured me with a decade ago.🤣

This came across my FB feed from a Twilight fan page and got me thinking: Which is my oldest book? And voila! Interview with a Vampire. Got it in elementary school 30+ years ago. It's still holding strong. 🤣

Here are some of the places we've gotten to ship books across the US. There's an immense joy in offering an extensive online shop that's accessible to readers all over the country.

So here's a challenge for all of us! How many more states can we reach throughout the holiday season?
• Make sure your out-of-state family and friends know we exist!
• Consider getting someone a digital gift card for Christmas.
• Ship a gift of books directly from us to your recipient (Leave a note on your order if you'd like us to package it as a gift on your behalf!)

We love what we do! An alert goes off on our devices announcing a new order. We find each title, carefully package it, and get it in the mail fast. While we can't compete with a certain "Prime" option (🙄), we strive to provide efficient and personalized customer service to everyone, everywhere. But I don't have to tell you that... You already know 🥰
