As the holidays are upon us, we have two projects going on here at the Villa du Lac Community and we hope you will join us in bettering the lives of all those less fortunate.

St. Jude Children’s Hospital

Starting immediately, we are asking our residents to donate $5.00 to St. Jude Children’s Hospital to help further research the illnesses of children, both curable and terminal. Here at Harborside, we strive to better the lives and offer our contributions to giving these young children a fighting chance at life. Please note that ANY donation helps, and we will be glad to accept your donation with December’s rent.

Non-perishable Food Drive

Starting immediately, we have boxes set up in the Harborside club house for our residents to donate non-perishable food items. These items will be distributed to local food banks in order to provide the less fortunate with food for the holidays. For every item donated, your name will be entered in the drawing for a 100.00 CREDIT ON YOUR JANUARY RENT! Remember, each item is an entry, so the more you give, the better your chance of winning.

Here at Villa du Lac, we are adamant about giving back and we strongly believe that giving is better than receiving. Please join us in these two very important projects, and help us strive to better the lives of those in need! We thank you and we wish you and your family a joyous and happy holiday season!!

Early this morning power was out on the property briefly. A few residents have let us know some of their outlets still are not working. If you have any outlets not working, search around your apartment for GFI outlets- they look like the outlets posted above. Simply pushing the "reset" button on these outlets should fix them. If you still are experiencing problems with them let us know and we will have a member of maintenance fix them for you!

Unfortunately, an unforeseen late change in the weather has forced us to postpone the movie night to Friday, September 26. This morning the forecast showed a minimal chance of rain for this evening, but the forecast changed late in the evening and the projector rental company made us change the date. We apologize and we hope the weather is more cooperative in 2 weeks!

Friday, September 12 Villa du Lac will be airing Mrs. Doubtfire at the property Volleyball Court! The movie will begin at 7:30-- we will provide popcorn, snacks, hot dogs, and drinks. Bring a friend, bring a blanket and come enjoy this classic film on a MASSIVE 21' inflatable projection screen! We hope to see you there!

A resident has found a Yorkie in the parking lot by building 2. If you are missing your pup please call the office!

Good news! The pool table in the club house has been re-felted and the rails have been replaced! We're going to buy some new pool sticks this afternoon and the table will be good as new!

Heads up residents, the gnome is hiding on the property again! The first person who brings him back to the office gets a gift certificate to Papa John's good for one large one topping pizza. We hear he's trying to get in swimsuit shape since Summer is on the way!

On Friday, May 16th from 4 PM to sunset, photographer, Samantha McGovern, will be on site to provide her professional photography services. Compliments of Villa du Lac Management!

Come and enjoy a FREE 15 minute photo session with up to four separate poses. Photography will take place at your choice of the pier or pool. Residents will receive at no cost an 8"x10" print, pose of your choice. Feel free to bring personal props! Refreshments will be served at the pool.
