Slidell Mayor Greg Cromer, the Slidell Commission on the Arts and the City of Slidell’s Department of Cultural & Public Affairs are excited to announce the lineup of events for the 2024-2025 Cultural Season!
Slidell Mayor Greg Cromer invites you to the seventh annual White Linen and Lagniappe on Saturday, August 3, from 6 to 9 p.m. in Olde Towne Slidell. This family-friendly event features an evening of art, live entertainment, fine and casual dining, cool drinks, unique shopping and lots of lagniappe.
Several bands will be playing during the event, including Audio Beach, Stephen Authement, Bayou Stampede, Christy and the Rascals, Fat City Swing Band, Northshore Community Orchestra Jazz Ensemble, Over Board and Uke Box Hereauxs.
Many of Olde Towne’s offices, restaurants, bars, shops, and stores will be open during the event to showcase their businesses.
This event is hosted by the City of Slidell, Olde Towne Slidell Main Street, Slidell Historic Antique Association and the Olde Towne Merchants Association.

UPDATE: 2:59am] It appears as though the severe weather has pushed through the Slidell area and that there are currently no major weather concerns for the area. There may be lighter wind and rain throughout the next hour or so, but it should clear up before morning.
[UPDATE: 2:08am] The storm band has reached Slidell. We are currently experiencing heavy rain and winds with several power outages.
[UPDATE: 1:37am] The next storm band should reach the Slidell area within the next 30-45 minutes.

Although the rain has stopped for the time being, the strong gusts of wind have not. We are beginning to receive reports of trees and power lines down in the area. In the next few hours, conditions are 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙣 as more heavy rain rolls in. These storms will be accompanied by heavy wind and the possibility of hail and tornadoes.
