๐ Exciting News: We Have A New Logo! ๐
We are excited to share our new logo with you all! Logos are the face of an organization; PLJCS's new logo represents our libraryโs identity, principles, values, and mission in a single image. Our hope is that the new logo inspires our community to visit the library and benefit from all of the resources and services that it has to offer.
The most notable change is that the new logo moves away from closed books on a shelf to an open book. The open book symbolizes knowledge, accessibility, and discovery; it represents the sharing of ideas and information, inviting everyone to explore and learn. ๐
The book pages are designed to resemble people, ranging from large to small, in various colors, vividly representing community, growth, and inclusivity. The varied colors and sizes of the pages reflect not only the rich tapestry of voices and experiences within our community, but within the books in our collection as well. By showcasing people in this way, the logo emphasizes the libraryโs role as a space where all are welcomed and encouraged to learn, connect, and grow together. ๐จโ๐ฉโ๐งโ๐ฆ
The bright and bold colors chosen for the new logo represent what our community can expect when they use our services and resources or participate in our programs. They have a unique meaning that reflects our mission and values:
๐Orange: This energetic color evokes creativity and enthusiasm. It reflects our dynamic atmosphere and commitment to fostering connections within our community.
๐Green: This color symbolizes growth. It represents our commitment to promote and support learning and personal development.
๐Blue: This color symbolizes knowledge and trust, while conveying a sense of calm and reliability. It represents the library as a safe and welcoming space for inquiry.
๐Navy Blue: This color conveys professionalism and stability, providing a strong foundation for our library. It represents our dedication to serious scholarship and research. This color balances the vibrancy of the other colors.
