The City's Smyrna Youth Council applications for the 2024-2025 program are open now through August 23. Applications are open to all high school students in Smyrna. Applications can be found at https://www.smyrnaga.gov/your-city/smyrna-youth-council
Congratulations to the 2024 Smyrna Scholars Essay Contest Winners! 50 students from Campbell HS, Campbell MS, Pearson MS, and Griffin MS showcased their writing prowess and submitted persuasive essays encouraging teenagers to open a bank account. 10 exceptionally skilled students received monetary prizes from $100 to $500.

Congrats Teasley ES on your $1,000 Core Education Grant! Funds will be used to purchase decodable texts to send home with students to practice their phonics and reading skills.

A huge thank you to Bill Waibel at Nalley Lexus Smyrna. Due to his generous donation, SEF presented a $500 check to Norton Park ES. These funds will go towards their food pantry.

Last night at City of Smyrna, GA Government City Council meeting JRM Management Services along with our partners at Atkins Park Restaurant & Bar - Smyrna donated $15,000 to the Smyrna Education Foundation. The proceeds are from 2023 City of Smyrna events we produce. Thanks to the foundation for all they do to support schools in our area.
