When you think of festive holiday drinks, you might think of eggnog or mulled cider. However, SPG Diabetes Educator and Registered Dietitian Tiffany Rios has an even better suggestion - beet juice! She encourages you to try Goji of Somers Point's "Sunrise Juice," where beets take center stage, along with apple, celery, orange, lemon and ginger.

Tiffany says, "Beets are known for their ability to increase nitric oxide levels, which serves multiple functions related to increased exercise performance, including improving blood flow and strengthening muscle contraction. This makes Sunrise Juice the perfect pick-up before the gym. This ruby red veggie is also filled with phytosterols, which can help lower blood cholesterol levels by slowing the absorption of dietary cholesterol and the production of cholesterol in the liver.
