Did you know is an active advocate in mental health awareness. On top of being the most followed woman on the internet she has openly advocated for mental health, talking about her own struggles, and even releasing a documentary!

Dr. Michaela Dunbar is a clinical psychologist and wellness coach! She is also the founder of ! take a look at her work.

𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐉𝐨𝐲 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐚𝐲! She is the CEO of Butterfly Dreamz Inc a non profit organization that has helped girls in Newark, Nj and Gary, IN develop into confident leaders. She currently has two scholarships open for you to apply to, check them out.

𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗚. 𝗪𝗼𝗼𝗱𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵!
He was one of the first scholars to study the history of the African diaspora, including African-American history. Woodson was devoted to showcase the contributions of Black Americans, and launched Negro History Week in the second week of February which was later expanded into Black History Month!

Now that we've talked about Mentoring and Wellness let's talk about how they work together! Although mentoring and wellness may seem like two different things they actually fairly similar and help with our individual progress and mental health. // Have you ever wondered how we can utilize mentoring in our community? In our community there are not many offering mentoring, but we need step out of our comfort zones more because no one knows our struggles more than us.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘄𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲? We don't necessarily wait for the men in our life to ask for help and to be mentored. We just do it. That's the key to mentoring men, being open to discussing topics that seem unnatural and hard to talk about.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘄𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻? The first step is to be willing and able to mentor, the next step is to raise awareness of the issue present today, and create a safe space. Did you know that only 69% of women have female mentors? the more awareness we spread the more women will feel pressured to mentor other women.

𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵? This week we will go over mentoring the youth, men, and women!
It is super important for us to start mentoring by influencing the youth in our community. Did you know that mentoring the youth hold a huge impact in how likely they are to enroll into college, do drugs, and drink alcohol? Well you do now.
There are several different ways for us to mentor our youth, and it all starts with learning their interest. When will you begin to mentor the youth in your community?
