3rd Friday Folk is booked through March - and then we’re shutting down. We did our best to weather the Covid storm, but the momentum we had built up over our first five years has taken a nose dive. Attendance has not picked up since we resurrected a regular schedule a year ago. We can no longer afford to pay our performers and the rent.
We appreciate everyone who has attended our performances, and we hope we will be remembered fondly as folks who did what we could to provide a service to the local music community.
Please consider attending one or more of our final concerts.
In harmony,
Joe & Sherri

PLEASE READ:
We restarted monthly 3rd Friday Folk in January - after almost 2 years of covid-interruption. Our pre-covid average audience was 30. This enabled us to pay the rent and the performers - many of whom come from out of state. Since resuming in January, our average attendance is 9. We can no longer afford to maintain 3rd Friday Folk. We are at the make-or-break limit.
No one is obligated to attend 3rd Friday Folk.
This month’s performance - by Curtis and Loretta - who are driving down from Minnesota - will be one of the best this year. Depending on Friday’s attendance, we will be making the decision to continue or pack it in.
Again - no one is obligated to attend.
Before covid we had a core of regular attendees who knew that no matter who was performing, it would be top quality entertainment. That core has failed to return. It’s unfortunate - but it’s a sign of the times.
