Having a day. Stay cool everyone.

New Work.

Several acres just outside of town. The architecture responds to surrounding views, natural light into the interior while maximizing outdoor living & entertaining. The scale of this project is the most important: focusing on leaving most of the native land untouched and giving space to the interior rooms that really will be enjoyed on a regular basis.

The Front Door. Or is it?

The beginning of many subtle choices in a project that sets a tone.

The stone porch continues into the foyer. How can I accentuate that?

The wood ceiling continues inside and flows out. Should I bury the frame of the door in the ceiling?

A simple table rests against the right wall. The pivot should allow space.

No lever please. A hammered piece of bronze secured vertically at the top & bottom should serve as what you push or pull on to open or close.

This 8’0” wide X 10’0” tall piece of glass isn’t a front door. The front door to me already happened - it’s when you crested the hill and entered the property. This was the start. The Entry.

Fly over Friday. Always great to revisit a past project here in Sonoma.

New Year. New Offices!

Our newest downtown location - just a couple blocks from The Plaza. Pretty excited about the proposed changes we are making to our latest headquarters. Including an art component: a mural by Tribute to the children of Sonoma Valley.
