The Project Engineer is responsible for the design of HVAC, plumbing and process piping systems for design build construction projects. This includes producing complete design documents for permit submittal and construction. The project engineer is an engineer in training meaning he / she will receive guidance, training and design review from the Engineering Manager for direction of design parameters, system selection, code reference, industry standards and construction implementation. As the project engineer progresses in knowledge and experience the level of guidance and training will be reduced. A fully trained project engineer / engineer in training will be self sufficient in completing HVAC and pluming designs for various projects.

The Service Coordinator plans, coordinates, and monitors the activities of the Service Technicians and Installers to ensure customer’s service needs are met promptly and satisfactorily; communicates with customers and employees with professionalism; tracks work status for service agreements, time and material and service projects; and processes reports including reconciliations of all finished work.

1. Repairs and maintains HVAC systems and any related components according to manufacturer’s specifications, including wiring, refrigerant lines, gas lines and ductwork.
2. Provides timely and quality repairs and maintenance of customers’ products.
3. Troubleshoots problems with equipment. Adjusts, cleans and calibrates equipment to assure proper operations. Complete diagnosis and repair of the following:
a. 80 percent to 90 percent efficiency furnaces.
b. Air conditioning and heat pump condensers.
c. ECM variable speed motors
d. Compressor replacements.
e. Super heat and sub-cooling.
4. Promotes additional products and services.
5. Advises customers on maintenance schedules.
6. Pre-measures jobs to ensure proper materials for repairs and maintenance.
7. Receives, verifies and loads all equipment and materials for jobs.
8. Assures billing accurately reflects completed services. Prepares records and reports describing procedures, actions taken and recommended solutions.
9. Assures all work is completed to quality and safety specifications.
10. Provides training to customers on electronic control system operations as directed.
11. Assures customers’ locations are left clean and undamaged.
12. Provides technical assistance with system designs.
13. Responds to customer emergencies in a timely manner. Provides on-call service on weekends and holidays.
14. Maintains truck stock inventory.
15. Keeps truck clean and organized.
16. Other duties as assigned.
Non-Essential Job Duties:
1. May assist with system installations, replacements and start-ups.
Essential Qualifications:
1. HS Diploma or equivalent.
2. 3-5 years experience in residential/light commercial HVAC field.
3. Ability to repair, replace, install, and set up computerized electronic components.
4. General knowledge of electrical trade.
5. Computer literacy in office communication programs.
6. Ability to effectively communicate with clients.
7. Strong attention to detail.
8. Demonstrated customer service skills.
9. Must have current driver’s license.
10. Must have appropriate hand tools.
11. Mechanical aptitude.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
1. Advanced training in construction trades/HVAC.
2. EPA and/or NATE certified.
3. Training and/or certifications in construction safety, forklift training, defensive driving, etc.
4. Advanced knowledge of construction industry.
