We’re hosting a sound bath that will be performed by at 4pm. If you’ve never experienced the healing benefits of a sound bath, here’s your chance. There is no admission fee and it will be held in our market community garden at 14888 Peaceful Valley Road in East Sonora (across Mono Way from Tractor Supply). ✌🏼❤️🥕

Here’s the question that we’d like to challenge you with: ​

Why don’t we do regular check-ups for our bodies as a movement system – the very thing that quite literally gets us from Point A to Point B, the thing that gets us through our day, and the thing that allows us to work, play with our kids, and participate in a sport or activity? ​
​
Over time, our muscles can tighten, our joints can stiffen, and our body begins to compensate for these changes. ​
​
Eventually, this can contribute to other larger problems, like degenerative joint disease, knee or shoulder pain, back or neck pain, etc. ​
​
Our bodies are great at determining the path of least resistance. ​
​
Unfortunately, this does not necessarily mean that this is being achieved in the best, most efficient way, or in the way that our bodies are built to do it.​
​
The goal is to keep you going, pain-free, rather than becoming reliant on pain medicine, being sidelined with lost days of work, limiting interactions with your family, or seeking out surgery.​

🌽🥕 Don't let anyone go hungry! I wanted to talk a little bit about food insecurity and how farmers' markets can help provide access.
Farmers markets combat food insecurity by supporting local farmers, offering fair prices, and accepting assistance programs. They provide fresh, nutritious produce, promoting healthy eating habits and reducing reliance on unhealthy options.

🚜 In this rural area, without easy access to grocery stores, food security is a pressing issue.
With our incredible Farmer Buy-Back program, along with the Chicken Ranch Rancheria's Edible Food Recovery Program, we are tackling food waste head-on! 🌱 Surplus foods are bought from local farmers and lovingly donated to veterans and low-income families. No one should go without fresh, healthy food, and the Jamestown Farmers Market is making sure of it!

We've also dispersed Market bucks to schools, so families with limited resources can enjoy access to nutritious produce. It's a win-win, helping the community while fostering healthy eating habits! 🥦🌽

Every Thursday, there is a Cancer Patient Support Group that meets at the Diana J White Cancer Institute (Health Pavilion), 2nd Floor in the Boulder Conference Room (last room on the right) from 3pm-4pm. It is only for Cancer patients, regardless of where you receive treatment. It is a great opportunity to meet fellow warriors and talk about anything.
