From a blue-green balayage to a pink blonde 🌸💕🤩

Our goal was to cancel out any blue color from her previous treatment while proactively repairing and moisturizing hair damage from previous treatments.
We are using Kerastase Blonde Absolu Bain Ultraviolet to cancel out the warm tones, Redken 08VRo Pink toner, and the Kerastase fusio dose Chrima Absolu for repairing color-treated hair.

This client did an at-home haircut that resulted in cutting too much off the front. She scheduled an appointment with Jasa, who used a pack of Bellami k-tip extensions to fill in the space while allowing her hair to grow out, that way she didn’t have to cut more off to make it even.
The extensions blend seamlessly without notice of accidental cutting 🌿💇‍♀️

“My client really wanted a packed in summer blonde but with some dimension still left and some roots so it had an easier grow out. We went in with packed in teasey lights toned it to this bright sunny blonde. We used Bain lumière shampoo and cicaflash conditioner and did a fusio-dose with the blond absolu concentrate to help strengthening after lightening along with some toning power and the camellia oil booster to help nourish and add moisture to the hair. She kept telling me ‘I can’t believe this is my hair’” 🥹

“First we did a color remover to remove the previous dark brown color. Then we did a full highlight and lowlight with different coppers and reds to create a dimensional ginger color. We used Kérastase Chroma Absolu to protect and nourish the color treatment, and the Densifique mousse to add volume. We also used Redken One United leave in conditioner spray for shine and extra anti-frizz protection. We finished with a curl.”

This client came in wanting to brighten her blonde ⭐️

We decided to do a full foil, targeting the whole head for highlighting. We shampooed using the Bain Lumiere shampoo by KERASTASE - PARIS because it brings shine and strength to blonde hair with hyaluronic acid. When we got to styling, we used the Kerastase Cicaplasme for blonde-specific heat protection, and the Nectar Thermique heat protecting cream for moisture and anti-frizz. To finish off, we used the 8 Hour Night Serum for lasting softness and to nourish dry hair.

A curly cut with volume and definition 💇‍♀️

“My client showed me a reference picture with lots of layers and volume. I used clarifying shampoo to remove all buildup product that was causing her hair to weigh down. I used the Kerastase curl manifestó shampoo after. We added lots of layers to remove most of the weight, then we added a more dramatic face frame to give shape. After the cut, making sure the hair was soaking wet, I combed through the curl manifesto cream. Then scrunched and diffused”

Most salons will have a stock of NUMEROUS shampoos, and it’s not because they are afraid of running out. We stock to serve many types of hair, address different hair concerns, and achieve unique hair goals. EACH SHAMPOO IS DIFFERENT! There is a reason why we don’t buy a bunch of “regular” shampoos.
Here are just some (emphasis on some) of the types of shampoos you will commonly see.

Depending on the brand, these shampoos are not named to for just marketing purposes. They contain ingredients and use hair science to address particular concerns.

Purple Shampoo: for counteracting the yellow orange tones that often come with a bleaching or blonding. Think of the color wheel: purple is opposite of yellow and has properties to mellow this unwanted color.

Clarifying shampoo: removing buildup on the scalp. Many don’t realize that an oily scalp and weighed down hair is caused by a buildup of product. Try a clarifying shampoo every so often to revitalize your scalp.

Antidandruff shampoo: dandruff is a fungus, so you need a science-backed antifungal shampoo, aka an antidandruff shampoo. Using antifungal agents this shampoo helps fight dandruff. PSA: stuff does not equal dryness. Don’t stop shampooing! And consult your dermatologist.

Curly hair shampoo: people with curly hair often have more dryness and frizz. Because of the curl (tilted hair cuticle), natural oil doesn’t flow throughout the hair strands as others’ do. You need a shampoo with positively charged ingredients that tame frizz and hydrate.

Volumizing shampoo: this is not just a marketing phrase! Volume is created with ingredients that stiffen the hair strands, lifting them away from the scalp, and therefore giving a look of fullness. This is different than thickening shampoo. Think of each strand being farther apart from one another instead of those strands getting “thicker”.

Finding the right hair products for your hair type 🤔🧴💆‍♀️
From fine, medium, to coarse hair types, here are ingredients to look for ⬇️

Fine, medium, and coarse hair textures relate to the hair strand itself, not the density! Hair types can range in each hair texture, from straight, to wavy, to curly.

Fine hair types often want to create volume and body, but find that most products weigh down their hair and generate oil ➡️ look for lightweight consistency in products and use a minimal amount

Medium hair types hold shape well, but maybe a tendency to use many products results in buildup. Look to remove buildup with cleansers and exfoliators. Tip: try apple cider vinegar in a spray bottle, spray on your head in the shower, then rinse! This acts as a natural exfoliant 🤞

Coarse hair types can range from straight hair to curls, though all require lots of moisture and care. Look for hair oils and hydrating ingredients 💧
