Tahoe PAWS old page see new page info in comments

Lots of reactions to this recent photo posted on several local FB pages. It's a small family of Coyotes hanging near Lowe's and Petsmart. I'm shocked at some of the comments about shooting them with guns or bow and arrow. Someone else mentioned running them over. Coyotes are opportunistic hunters. If they happen to encounter your cat or small dog, and they are hungry, they will take advantage of that situation. We understand many of our pets get out by accident, and we know the heartbreak if they never come home. Be as proactive as you can keeping your pet safe at home.

This past week was tough.
My Soul Dog & Best Friend, Molli let me know she was ready to go run free.
Her last days with us she spent time with her & my favorite boy, Tony.
She got accupuncture, laser & cranial sacral therapy by her favorite therapists.
She had her favorite food, venison.
She spent time at one of her favorite places, the ranch.
She was surrounded by her dog friends & human friends.
It was a peaceful transition to be running free with her dog friends. It was beautiful & heartbreaking at the same time.
I work in the medical industry & have been with many humans & animals when they left their spirit. This was hard because she was my Soul Dog & Best Friend.
My heart & soul is missing her. I have not had the chance to process this. I am taking the time to do so in my own time & my own way.
If I do not respond to calls or texts, you know why.
15 1/2 years was not long enough. A piece of my heart is gone. Run free My girl. I know you will always be with me. I love & miss you 🐾💔😢😭

I didn't have room for your puppies today, I had to say no. You don’t want all these puppies and they have to go today. I spent hours trying to find help. When I finally do, I call you back, but it's too late, you "took care of them."
The high-kill shelter emailed "the list" today. I didn't see it in time, I was busy trying to find help for your puppies. When I offer to save them, it's already too late as they are all gone.💔

I tried to save your dog today, but I was too late. The damage you did was too much to overcome. Your dog attacked someone today, and now he dies for your neglect.
You tagged me on a Facebook post today, someone giving their dog away for free. I thought someone else would save him, so I didn't respond. No one did. Instead he was given to a dog fighter.

You dropped off your dog today. After 13 years he pees on your carpet, so he had to go. He had cancer. I held his paw while he drew his last breaths in fear surrounded by strangers.💔

You called me today, your dog was acting strangely, and you can't afford the vet. Your dog was in labor, but you didn't notice until it was too late because she lives out on a chain. She is gone when I get there.💔

You hear about those the rescuers save, but all we can think about is those we lost.
Today. Everyday .💔

We also do our best to rescue strays, dumped cats/dogs. That also costs a lot of money & they usually need longterm care.

Thank you to all those that have the most fragile of hearts and wake up each day knowing it will be broken. We need you more than you know! 💜🐾❤️

Recently my nonprofit 501c3 organization had a story that went viral, internationally. Our local news South Tahoe Now did the original story.
2 of my volunteers & myself have been interviewed & on the Today Show, Washington Post, San Fransisco Chronicle, San Fransisco Gate, LA Times, Accuweather, Weather Channel, CNN, Fox, CBS13, People Weekly, News Week, Inside Edition, Access Hollywood, Radio stations, many other TV shows/news stations & Newspapers all over the world. In 9 different countries.
This was extremely challenging for me, as I am very private & flow under the radar doing my work. I have to say that unfortunately it is true, most news media outlets change stories & are not accurate, to make them get ratings. Not one single agency I have interviewed with donated even a $1.00 to our nonprofit.
The story that went viral was amazing!! Just like all of our other stories. We have these amazing success stories all the time!! This is what we do!!
When Judi with Kindness Champions asked to do a interview I almost said “no thank you”. I was done being interviewed, having such inaccurate stories & information (like our name & website) be left out or changed.
I ended up saying yes because I liked her energy/vibe. I spent a couple hours interviewing with Judi who runs Kindness Champion’s. She is a really amazing human being! I am grateful I said Yes to her interview!
