We Need To Slow Down.
Is a thoughtful suspension practice the answer? Maybe, maybe not. But its certainly a step in the right direction.
What is the right speed for a suspension workout? Is it really better to work slowly?
My understanding is that the ideal goal – regardless of pace or speed is that the movement should be done with efficiency, using the correct muscle groups in the correct sequence for proper biomechanical function. And when you achieve this, you can forge new firing patterns, encourage efficient stability even at a subconscious level, build strength, lengthen tight muscle groups, and improve form . . .

What an incredible focused group that dedicated there Saturday afternoon to learn mindful mechanics of Suspension Exercises & Animal Flow in which and I have co-created into a three hour seminar. Movements were broken down into progression and regression principles teachings that include structural awareness, creating functional integrity into dynamic invigorating movements. Here's what to do, make contact with the floor by exhaling and pushing the ribs down allowing the thoracic lumbar junction to create a neutral spine so that you can feel the ground below. At this time starting at a 90deg angle push the rings up and over maintaining your TLJ utilizing them as guidance to track the floor.
