As we prepare food for Officer Santos’ family, I wanted to share this post from the SPD with various donation avenues that have been created. Proceeds go directly to the family so they can focus on what’s most important, his recovery, 🙏 ❤️‍🩹

The Springfield Police IBPO Local 364 Patrolman's Union has set up an account at the Greater Springfield Credit Union for Officer Nestor Santos who was shot on Wednesday night.

We also appreciate the assistance of our partners in the Boston Police Department (Official), Superintendent Gregory Long for offering and providing BPD resources for Officer Santos and his family, the Boston Police Patrolmen's Association, Boston Police Detectives Union-BPDBS and the Quincy Police Department for providing meals and support for his family as well as the Boston Police Family Assistance Unit for help with just about everything!

We can also not forget the Doctors, Nurses and EMS staff in both Springfield and Boston who helped saved and are contributing to Officer Santos' recovery efforts.

Thank you to the Braintree Police Department for bringing tons of food and pastries for Officer Santos' family Monday night and the Massachusetts Police Association and Brookline MA Police Department for providing his family with food on Tuesday.

Springfield Police Officer Nestor Santos was shot in the face and leg on Wednesday night. He is currently in a Boston area hospital and has a bullet fragment lodged in his head. He has had one surgery, and Doctors were able to save his eye, but he will lose his vision in one eye. He will likely need several more surgeries before he is released. During this incident, seven suspects were arrested, and seven illegal fi****ms were recovered.
