Instead of spending weeks and a hefty expense ripping out and replacing tile, the restaurant is down only 24 hrs + a very affordable fee bringing back what I call Red Drum’s red sea glass to life. There was a bar/host stand we demo and all the grit/grim below it is now gone. Matt and Team @ Barefoot Floor & Fabric Care are once again bringing back my client’s flooring to life! These are probably 40 plus yr old floors, even the bathrooms look like they have new ceramic! In the next 24 hrs, the grout will appear a light gray instead of black due to food, oil stains and wear and tear. Secret remodel project I’ve been working on during the off-season - new sushi restaurant opening in Duck, NC this Spring. We’re on Day 44 here with a few weeks left wrapping up loose ends like wallpaper, wall decor, furniture and all new everything in the bathrooms including all rose gold hardware in the women’s bathroom. When I first walked into this restaurant the only colors were white and brown, what a long way we have come!

Soft-shell crab season on the Outer Banks is a true seafood delicacy. Did you know, all crabs shed their shells but only a few can be eaten in their soft-shell state. The illustrious blue crab is a unique specimen as it’s the only soft-shell seafood sold commercially. During its lifetime, the blue crab goes through several growth stages and may shed its hard-outer shell near 20 or more times during its short three-year lifespan.
