We are thrilled to announce that the Michigan Legislature passed the state budget late last month with a historic $20 million investment in supportive housing services!

This incredible funding will support Volunteer of America Michigan's initiatives like the St. Mary's of Redford Affordable Housing Project and many others across the state.

Opening in 2027 on Detroit's westside, the St. Mary's of Redford Affordable Housing Project will turn a vacant school into 61 housing units, reducing homelessness and allowing residents to thrive in their community.

Thank you to Senator Jeff Irwin and Representative Felicia Barbec for championing this investment! 🙌

Stay tuned for more details on how this funding will be administered and how you can get involved. Let's continue to advocate for more and sustained funding for supportive housing services in Michigan!
