📰Today, the Texas Supreme Court issued a decision that would allow SB14, the health care ban for trans youth in Texas, to stay in effect reversing an injunction granted previously by the Travis County District Court in August.

💕We are keeping all of our trans siblings, especially trans youth, in our hearts and minds today and every day.

Once again, we are mourning the loss of liberty for Texas families. The Texas Supreme Court had an opportunity to reflect the integrity and friendship that defines the Texas spirit. Instead, they enabled radical, discriminatory legislation to live on.

It's tough to raise kids these days, but for parents with trans kids, the state is actively making that task harder.

Extreme rhetoric from far-right politicians has enabled and encouraged bullying at schools; children are afraid of being torn from their families; family doctors are being harassed; and parents are spending thousands to travel across the country for regular check ups—if they can afford to.

When lawmakers narrow our freedoms based on their personal beliefs, it does not bode well for democracy. This state is a melting pot with millions of different people. Whose health care, whose freedoms will they take next?

This isn't the end.
