The US Department of Agriculture states that just 100 trees can remove 53 tons of carbon dioxide and 430 pounds of other air pollutants every year. In 2020 alone, forest-stored carbon efficiently offset 14% of US carbon dioxide emissions and 11% of our greenhouse gases.
Carbon storage and Temperature Control
US forests stored 58.7 billion metric tons of carbon in 2020, preventing it from escaping to warm the Earth's atmosphere. Forests also naturally provide large shaded areas which help keep soil moist and temperatures down.

With over 1,101 manatee deaths, last year was the worst on record for these beloved marine animals. This year could be even WORSE with another 600 manatees already reported dead. Experts agree that two of the biggest threats manatees face are habitat destruction and lack of seagrass -- and cruise ship pollution exacerbates BOTH of these critical dangers.
Profit-driven companies like Carnival Corp. dump massive amounts of harmful wastewater into the oceans and manatees' sensitive habitats. They churn up sand and toxic contaminants that endanger water quality and decimate the growth of seagrass beds -- a vital source of nutrients for manatees. We must DEMAND that Big Cruise is held accountable for its destructive pollution before our oceans are destroyed and manatees are wiped out. Will you add your name now?
