Postino, Village District — NOW OPEN

And just like that, we welcome our second restaurant in North Carolina! We’re going to get along just great, Raleigh 🫶

Originally built as a Wachovia bank in 1950, this building served as a banking institution for over 30 years. Since, a number of restaurants have inhabited the space — notably Carolina Cafe, which was a neighborhood staple beginning in 1995.

This development also has a rich history of the music scene from the late 1970’s and early 1980’s. The Village Subway was a main staple for underground punk/pop adoration and performance. Think: REM, The Go-Go’s, Iggy Pop, and Flock of Seagulls. This is commemorated in Village District’s very own Artwall, featuring a collage of vintage underground punk magazine covers. But that’s not all! We’ve got a Building Mural as well that depicts a Stop-Motion Animation of above music acts.

Let’s rock this town together, yeah? 🎸

Do you hear that? 🎧 Our iconic design team crafted this art wall with over 400 vintage headphones, spanning over 600 square feet! It serves as an homage to our root of all things rad, as well as a trubute to the AMP music venue right next door. You’ll also notice a number of interior selections that give a nod to the past golf course community — talk about a hole-in-one. ⛳

Come on over, we’ll save you a seat.
