I've been devouring these Human Design books the last couple of days!
Being able to help my clients understand how they function, how they make decisions, what gifts and strengths they have and how to support themselves has been so rewarding!

Can we talk about anger?
We as women have been taught to be nice, polite, presentable and courteous. "Be on your best behavior. Be ladylike" they say.
My mom often told my sister and I that she failed in teaching us to be ladylike. Not for lack of trying! Heaven knows she tried! But for lack of us desiring to execute it. I think my sister and I both felt like we'd rather express ourselves than fit into a box. Praise my parents for not squelching that!
Expressing yourself also requires a certain level of acceptance- or at least tolerance- of your own anger.
Anger is not a bad thing! It's a cue that a boundary has been crossed. Anger is a very beautiful emotion when you let it propel you into action and align you with your values.
The potential for anger to be dangerous is when we hold on to it and stew in it.
Let yourself feel the anger. Take the action you need to take. And while doing so, connect to your values (your personal principles and standard of behavior) as you move forward.
You will experience more relief in your body when you can make friends with your emotions of anger.

Taking time to feel the ridges of my fingerprints, listen to my breathing, feel my stomach move up and down.. things are shifting!
By tuning into my body in subtle yet powerful ways, I am able to shift from avoider and stickler to open and willing to take imperfect action.
Implementing this information has helped me move forward and feel more relaxed in my body.

On Memorial Day the flag is supposed to be flown at half staff until noon and then flown full staff until the end of the day.
This is to honor those who have fallen and those who have served and lived.
There is also a nationwide moment of silence at 3pm local time.
Honoring those we have lost, those who have protected us and those who continue to do so is a great way to support our country and feel connected to one another.
