Butler Volunteer Fire 490

At 2230 hrs on July 15th, E494 and TSU491 were alerted to respond to the 18700 block of Upper Beckleysville Road in Upperco for a residential structure fire. Upon arrival, units reported fire showing from multiple floors and requested a Working Fire Profile.

E494 arrived and assisted with extinguishment and securing a water supply. TSU491 staged in case a second water source was need.

Engine 494, Tanker Support Unit 491,”operated on location for ~2.5 hours.

We are saddened to announce the passing of life member Danny “Biscuit” Wilhelm . Biscuit joined Butler in 1971 and has held numerous positions through the years including many years as our captain. Biscuit was also a life member at Hereford Volunteer Fire Company and a member at the Arcadia Volunteer Fire Company.
