I have dedicated so much of my time making tail safety infographics, blog posts, website pages, and educational videos. I do this because I genuinely care about the safety of each and every mer. Being a mermaid is my whole life and it’s the most rewarding and magical job ever. Everyone who wants to experience the magic of mermaiding should get to; but that won’t happen if we don’t take safety into account BEFORE we even buy a tail.

The story of Jimmy the skull

Jimmy ignored the fence and the signs and climbed over into the mermaid lagoon.

Unfortunately for Jimmy mermaids are territorial and he couldn’t hold his breath nearly as long as the mermaid. Jimmy didn’t know mermaids eat meat and all that is left of him is his skull and a few bones used for decor around spooky season.

Jimmy sits in his spot on the waterfall to serve as a warning that the fence and both of the warning signs are there for a reason. You can see him in the background of a lot of my work photos and videos!
