Hi everyone! I posted on my social media stories but in case you didn’t see- tonight I am not on the schedule for Spokane Valley Farmers Market. July 5th and August 9th are the two I did not book for the season due to family events. Thank you all and see you next week! 🫶

I have a true 2 door freezer and a true 2 door refrigerator for sale (fridge is glass doors and older model but a workhorse!). Nothing wrong with them, they work amazing- just don’t have the space to use them anymore! Message me for more pics and information. Located in Spokane valley, delivery available for extra fee!

Life of a small business owner…

I went to reorder the organic vegan wholesale chocolate I use in pretty much every item I make containing chocolate and was hit with a HUGE sticker shock.

A price jump from $65 per box to $125 per box within 4 months is honesty insane. There are some things going on in regards to cocoa in the world right now, so I get it but double the price is hard to grasp. Trying to pivot but I have only really used this brand of vegan chocolate for the last 4 years.

There’s no way of telling if the other brands will hold up as well in the recipes I have, and I’m devastated about this!

Some items may not be available for the foreseeable future until I find an affordable replacement with the same quality or will have to raise prices yet again to continue to purchase this brand- which I don’t want to do.

If anyone has recommendations for vegan chocolate brands they enjoy baking with, please let me know. 🤞😅

This week my booth was sold out at Kendall Yards Night Market an hour before closing

This week my booth was 11 items away from being completely sold out at Spokane Valley Farmers Market

This week 5 of you trusted me to custom make something for an occasion that was special to you.

It’s hard to not speak as “we” and “us” when you are talking on a business page..but I wanted to thank you all for the generous support as I work hard towards making my dream a reality. I am in awe of the community that continues to show up for Botanical Bites, everyone has made all the long hours worth every second. I am grateful for the familiar faces, the new connections, the far travelers, and the amazing market goers I’ve had the pleasure of talking with recently. I am so passionate about adding more to the vegan food scene here in Spokane, this is just the beginning.

I’ve looked at a few options for moving kitchen space, one is still up in the air but the others unfortunately will not work out.
Needing commercial real estate agent to help go over all the options and properties on the market.

In desperate need of a new baking space ASAP! My license is up for renewal June 30th and I need to find a new place by then to change over my license smoothly.

The space we are/were using is wonderful, however that business is growing so fast (and I am so happy for them, they’re seriously killing it 🫶) that they need all their space back, meaning Botanical Bites now needs a new home. We are already prepaid for full farmers market seasons and multiple events through fall so this is a huge setback to scramble for a new place without a gap on my licensing so I don’t have to cancel so many events and possibly close up shop for good… and I’m sad to say that’s even a possibility because this is my dream.

If you own a food business and wouldn’t mind renting to another local foodie just trying to make the best vegan baked goods in town, please let me know!
A existing restaurant/bakery that would let me have my own fridge/freezer and storage shelf that I could work around their operation hours would be fantastic.
A space to lease that’s not crazy expensive (don’t need anything more than 1000sq ft) that I could turn into a bakery production spot would be fantastic.

Unfortunately I’ve had horrible experiences in the past and know so many others who have had a terrible time as well with the couple of hourly rental kitchens in town so that is not an option.

Cross your fingers and please send good vibes my way for a new space!!! This is extremely difficult to navigate on this timeline. Community support is so needed 🫶 any recommendations or even words of encouragement mean the world to me!
