We're thrilled to welcome Georgia Oxford back to the Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce! A Navy Veteran and dedicated community builder, Georgia is passionate about connecting people and making a positive impact.

Georgia previously served as our Director of Membership & Events from 2017 to 2022, and we're excited to have her expertise and enthusiasm back with us. Before rejoining the Valley Chamber, Georgia was the Capital Campaign Director for the future Idaho Central Spokane Valley Performing Arts Center.

This three-week intensive program is for high school juniors and seniors. The students get hands-on experience in the entire production process, from design to selling their products.

📦 This year, students learned the "Ideation to Market" in a 4-days approach.
They learned how to design and model on Tuesday and prototyped the product on Friday.

🎓 Participants earn high school credit, receive a stipend, tour local manufacturing facilities, and meet industry experts.

🇺🇸 Today, the City of Spokane Valley - Municipal Government proudly hosted the ceremonial dedication of the new Veterans Memorial at Balfour Park. It was a heartfelt event filled with respect, honor, and gratitude for our veterans.

We gathered to witness Military Honors performed by the Veterans of Foreign Wars (Captain James R. Shively VFW Post 1435), Spokane Area Veterans Honor Guard, Army Honor Guard, and University High School Junior ROTC Cadets. The ceremony included a color guard, the playing of Taps, a 21-gun salute, and the solemn folding and presentation of an American flag.

This memorial stands as a testament to the dedication and sacrifice of our veterans.
