This World Landscape Architecture Month, we're taking a moment to shine a light on the incredible journey and fruitful partnership between the National Park Service – Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance program (NPS-RTCA) and the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA). Together, we're making strides in transforming underutilized lands into vibrant, accessible community wonders.

Since our formal partnership began in 2000, we’ve embarked on a mission to bring the beauty of the outdoors right to your doorstep. From the bustling streets of our cities to the quiet corners of small towns, we’ve worked hand-in-hand with local communities across the country to plan, design, and manage their natural, cultural, and recreational resources.

Our partnership is all about building healthy neighborhoods, powering local economies, and preparing our communities to be resilient against a changing climate. By pairing the planning skills of NPS-RTCA staff with the design expertise of ASLA members, we provide facilitation and planning assistance to neighborhoods, nonprofit organizations, Tribes, and state and local governments to turn their visions into tangible realities.

Here’s to more years of meaningful collaborations, transformative projects, and shared successes!
