Have you noticed our lack of posting lately? We have too. 👀 Hard truth time. ⬇️

With our spa and client demands, as well as with creating and releasing our own skincare brand MATUSA in March of 2023 - we found ourselves (mainly me, Leigh), overworked and unmotivated to train other professionals.

I realized I couldn’t do it all - nor did I want to.

The weight of that realization was heavy so I held space for myself until I could figure out how to breathe life into Vain once again.

There are so many unrealistic expectations in the beauty industry, and while I want to be a leader who lifts others up as I climb, I’m not one to hand hold people who want to take shortcuts that put consumers at risk. Everyone is now a “trainer”, and the predatory nature of that isn’t my style. There is also a lot of “free” education out there.

I know how much money I make in the treatment room. Time out of the spa to train requires my classes to be on the higher end of pricing. I have no emotional connection of guilt to my pricing. It’s business 101. This industry is filled with excellent practitioners, who don’t necessarily understand business, which is my niche.

2024 will transform Vain into a streamlined version of itself by still catering to the licensed professional but also by adding more affordable self study options that don’t require a hands on class to become certified.

We are revamping our training menu and removing classes that don’t bring us joy or profit to teach and we are adding some classes that we are excited about.

One of our biggest requests is Technical Business Writing - (which because I was a paralegal for 20 years - I legit love to do). We are raising the price for that service from $90.00 to $125.00 per hour. This will include a Business Development Consult, a Bid, and a Writing Project Timeline Meeting, as well as first drafts of your requested documents to finalization.

Finally, please be sure that we are always available for Business Consultations at a rate of $125.00 per hour, which includes a CONSULT Report and documented action items.
