STA Paratransit

When a person requests a certain time to be at a location by they expect you to adhere to the drop time and not make them late.

This report is the page owners gripe.

On Friday Feb 10th. I was picked up and observed a "trainer" standing up on the vehicle and walking around while the bus is in motion.

Last time I checked that it is against the rules for anyone to stand and walk while bus is in motion.

So if that "trainer" can do it then that means passengers can do it.

There was a person who got picked up from home to go to dialysis 2 hours late. By the time she was dropped off at her appointment (another 45 minutes) was another vehicle waiting on her to pick her up and take her back home. She wasn't allowed to go into dialysis to explain what happened.

She could have died. Who would have been responsible for her death? Surely not STA as people think they are so perfect.

Earlier this week, I was contacted by a rider of the STA Paratransit system (which sucks BTW) and he was told he couldn't drink on the vehicle.

According to the Paratransit A User Handbook pages 51-52 in the section called "A Few Rules" bullet point number 1 it states a person can't drink from a non-spill proof container. The person was drinking out of a plastic Coke bottle. The container is spill proof as when the person is done the bottle cap is placed back on the container to make a firm seal. If it was a Coke can then it would be a non-spill proof container.

So in this instance your driver was wrong to reprimand the consumer.

I have advised the PAX that if he gets a write up to forward it over to us and we will advise them to contact a lawyer as this is gross negligence on your behalf of your agency.

Yep, I am🫵at your STA Paratransit you need to be held accountable for your actions.

This was reported to me so now I am reporting it to you guys

A person called in to reservations to book a ride to go to church for Sunday Dec 25th as their own standing rides was cancelled because of the holiday. The person called in the week prior to book the trip. Somehow the trip was cancelled and NOT by the caller. Also the call that was placed to place the call was deleted from the system. They claim they can't delete calls. The caller gave them 4 different phone numbers to check a reservation just to make sure that the call had been deleted. It was deleted sure enough. My downstairs neighbor overheard me making the call as I used her phone as mine was dead.

This paratransit system needs to be completely redone.
