Sarah is our newest addition to our front desk staff. She is originally from Missoula, Montana and has enjoyed living in Spokane for the past four years. Some of her favorite Spokane activites include going to the Kendall Yards night market, attending Spokane Indians baseball games, and wine tasting at Arbor Crest Wine Cellars where she also works. Sarah recently graduated from Whitworth University in Psychology and is currently pursuing her Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Sarah's favorite thing about Pilates is the "low impact but high reward" physical activity that helps her keep her body moving so she can stay healthy in all areas in life. Some of Sarah's favorite activities outisde of Pilates are running, playing tennis, going for walks and practicing hot yoga with her mom. She loves spending time with friends and family, reading and listening to podcasts!!

Meet our July member of the month: Julie Greeley 💙
Julie's Pilates journey started in February 2024 with us. She has been searching for some form of exercise that would allow her to connect her physical presence and get back her personal power physically, emotionally and mentally. Julie tried traditional weight training and cardio but that proved too much strain on her body, bones and joints. With scoliosis in her upper spine and degenerate disk disease in her thoracic spine, Julie needed to find something that would allow her movements without pain.
After her first class at our studio, she felt amazing immediately. The combination of stretching, strengthening and breath work in addition to the challenging moves was an amazing combination for both her body and mind. She states " being able to shut off her brain and mentally relax is one of my favorite aspects of Pilates. After 4 months and 70 classes later, she noticed her back, core and body strength has made a huge difference in her spinal issues. Her back pain and knee pains are much better. She is gaining muscles and loosing inches! Julie mentions " for me I think of my body as a car. I care about how my body is running more than what the color or kind of care I drive." Pilates is helping her with the structure and alignment of her body giving her strength and power. "I cannot wait to see what changes over the next year for me." Never forget your roots is her mantra and Pilates has taken her back to her roots! 💕

What does having a "Pilates Body" mean to you?
"I underwent a bilateral mastectomy with immediate reconstruction for DCIS removing both of my breasts, leaving me with limited range of motion and feeling scared, incapable, and feeling less than woman. Post treatment, I was learning how to put my clothes back on (especially my bra!), how to reach up for things in the kitchen cabinet, and how to wash my hair again to say the least.
I found Pilates at the right time with the encouragement of my mother and husband, Brian, and the determination and will to get my life back. I worked hard to find my range of motion, and I learned to love myself for the first time. was the medicine that I needed to get my life back, my self-esteem recharged, and to reclaim my body back for good!
After 6 months, I got my wings back! I was finally renewed and restored, I was woman again with the embrace of my new beautiful story-telling scars. I knew this was my calling to help others so I left my world of interior design and architecture to become a certified . It has become and will always be a passion to help others succeed in finding themselves again after through the art of Pilates. I wake up every morning with gratitude, love, compassion and dedication to helping others find their wings through sharing my story."
