What a great learning opportunity!

Getting the opportunity to educate students about the global refugee crisis, the challenges refugees face, the strengths refugees bring to our communities, and how they themselves can join us to welcome and support refugees here in Spokane is a really rewarding and meaningful part of this work!

Today, we had the privilege of speaking to high school students at The Community School. They asked thoughtful questions and were eager to learn how they could get involved. By the end, many students were offering to do donation drives and assemble welcome kits, and others were asking about pathways to working in refugee resettlement when they graduate.

It’s always inspiring to see young people actively engaged in making a difference in the world! We enjoyed our time today with these future leaders and changemakers!
