This lush, easy- to- spread face balm is named for Isadora Duncan, the pioneering American modern dancer whose revolutionary dance style stirred audiences at the turn of the twentieth century. Duncans style was lyrical and feminine, yet also intense and provocative, challenging the prevailing ideas of the time about what a dancer, or a woman, could be.

Isadora’s namesake face balm is intensely hydrating and emollient, ideal for treating very dry skinand protecting against harsh weather conditions. So, how do you use our powdered sun shield? Measure out about 1/16 teaspoon of Farizad’s Veil into a ceramic bowl. Add several drops to half a dropper of your favorite daytime face oil or oil-based serum. We highly recommend Ruby Face Oil, which is lightweight, sun-protective, fast-absorbing, and pairs perfectly with Farizad’s Veil, or Ferns and Moss Face Serum if your skin is dry and mature or you live in a very dry climate. Mix the powder and oil together with your fingertips, adding enough oil to create a thin, smooth lotion. Apply onto the skin with your fingertips, rubbing in gently to distribute evenly and minimize the whitening effect. Start with a little and add more until you’ve achieved even and thorough coverage. If needed, you can add a few more drops of your facial oil directly onto your face to counter any whitening effect.
