March Patient Basket 🐣
Make sure to enter when you come in for your appointment!
We were so happy to see this little one during his check up with Dr. Child😁
We encourage bringing your little ones in for their first dental appointment by their 1st birthday. It provides familiarity and positivity during their dental experiences and also creates trust with doctor and staff! Plus we love all the babies, seeing them grow, and keeping up with their beautiful smiles🦷
Our June Basket is out! Comment “Enter Me” below and share this post to be entered into the drawing. Good Luck everyone!
We had a kind patient bring us flowers to brighten our day today!! Aren’t they beautiful?! Happy Tuesday everyone!
Drop off a toy!! We will take donations for this great effort until December 14th!
Heads up for patients coming in this week and possibly into next—we have some road construction happening in front of the building—please plan on a few extra minutes to get into the parking lot!
Remembering those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
🇺🇸❤️🤍💙
Today and Tomorrow are our last full days to collect toys-our bin will be picked up Monday morning! 🪀🎱🪁🧩🎮
It's that time of year again. We're happy to be a drop off location for Toys for Tots. Help us fill the bin!
If you have been into the office this month or last you might have missed seeing our Hygienist Haley. We have had some amazing Hygienist helpers seeing patients in her absence. Thank you everyone for being so understanding if we have adjusted your appointment or if you have seen a new face for your dental health visit. If you would like to support her family, mark your calendars to visit Froyo Earth at their WANDERMERE Location this coming Saturday, December 11th from 1pm-10pm. Please share this post so we can share the event with our amazing Spokane community.
It's that time of year again. We're happy to be a drop off location for Toys for Tots. Help us fill the bin!
Great tip for healthy developing teeth—water is great for all teeth, and drinking more of it is probably something many of us could benefit from!
We were leprechauned today by one of our newest Dental Assistants, Angie! How did you all celebrate St. Patrick’s day today?!
Gum disease linked to COVID-19 complications COVID-19 patients are at least three times more likely to experience complications if they also have gum disease, according to research published today in the Journal of Clinical Periodontology,1 the official publication of the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP).
We are a proud collection site for Toys for Tots again this year! If you don’t have an upcoming appointment feel free to still drop off a new unwrapped toy 🧸 🎄 🎁
Don’t forget to brush and floss well
Tonight!! 🦷 🎃 🧛♂️
The trick to scaring away cavities? Treat your teeth to a good brushing.
So many things to love about fall. Let us know which one is your favorite in the comments! 😄🍁☕🧦🍎
Post your artwork for all to see--what a super strange Halloween this year might be!! 🌕🦇🎃👻
COVID-19 makes it a lot trickier to blow out Birthday Candles—maybe for Dr. Child’s 50th next year things will be back to normal 🥳😷😆 but we sure hope it’s a lot sooner than that! Thanks for having a Birthday today so we could have cake Dr. Child!
The office has been celebrating a VERY special grad this week!! Dr. Child’s oldest son is a 2020 Mead High School Graduate! He works behind the scenes at the office and we are so excited for all the Grads this season! Please join us in Congratulating Elijah Child and also let us know about your Grad so we can wish them the best too!

To our valued patients,
We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward with hope.
While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety. Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are designed to keep you safe and comfortable.
We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe. Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Washington Industrial Safety and Health Act (WISHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued.
We’ve made a few changes to help protect our patients and staff.
For example:
• Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time.
• Use hand sanitizer that will be available when you enter the office. Each patient will be asked to complete a Covid-19 screening questionnaire upon check-in, after sanitizing.
• Our waiting room no longer offers magazines, children’s toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
• We ask that you not bring additional guests with you so we can reduce the number of people in the reception area with respect to social distancing recommendations. If your appointment requires you have a driver, your companion will be asked to wait in the car and we will notify them when your appointment is nearing completion.
• Air purification units have been installed in treatment rooms that create the potential for aerosols. This is a new sound around here, you are welcome to listen to music on your own device if you would like.
We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office at 509-468-1685 or visit our website at www.childfamilydentistry.com.
Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends.
Sincerely,
Dr. Brent L. Child and Team
