Master parallel parking with these quick tips: ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ’จ

Find the Right Spot:
Ensure the space is big enough for your car. A good rule of thumb is to find a spot that's at least one and a half times the length of your vehicle.

Position Your Car:
Align your car parallel with the vehicle in front of the space, approximately two feet away from it. Your rear bumpers should be aligned.

Check Mirrors and Blind Spots:
Before you start maneuvering, check your mirrors and look over your shoulder for any pedestrians, cyclists, or cars that may be approaching.

Signal Your Intent:
Use your turn signal to indicate that you are about to park, alerting drivers behind you.

Start Reversing:
Shift into reverse and start backing up slowly. As you move back, turn your steering wheel all the way to the right (if you're parking on the right side).

Check Your Angles:
As your front door passes the rear bumper of the car you're parking behind, begin straightening your wheel and continue reversing at an angle into the spot.

Adjust Your Position:
Once your car is mostly in the spot, turn your wheel to the left to bring your vehicle parallel to the curb. You might need to move forward and backward a bit to straighten out.

Final Positioning:
Ideally, you should be about 6-18 inches from the curb. Adjust as necessary, ensuring you're not too close to the vehicles in front or behind you.

Practice Makes Perfect:
Don't get discouraged if you don't get it right the first time. Parallel parking takes practice. Consider setting up cones in an empty lot to practice if you're nervous about using real cars.

Stay Calm and Patient:
Take your time and don't rush. It's better to correct your position than to risk bumping into another car or the curb.

๐Ÿ›‘ Practice makes perfect, so take it slow and stay calm! For expert guidance, connect with us at 911DrivingSchool.

When approaching a school zone, it's crucial to prioritize the safety of students, staff, and other road users. Here's how:

Reduce Speed: ๐Ÿข Always stick to posted school zone speed limits. Slower speeds offer more reaction time.
Stay Alert: ๐Ÿ‘€ Kids can be unpredictable. Ditch distractions and stay vigilant.
No Overtaking: ๐Ÿšซ Especially around buses loading or unloading children.
Obey Crossing Guards: โœ‹ Always yield or stop for them.
Watch for Buses: ๐ŸšŒ Stop when they flash red lights and extend their stop arm.
Avoid U-turns and Double Parking: ๐Ÿ”„ They can create dangerous situations.
Use Designated Areas: ๐Ÿ“ For dropping off or picking up students.
Stay Patient: ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™‚๏ธ School zones can get busy, so keep calm.
Look Out for Bicyclists: ๐Ÿšด Many kids bike to school. Always check blind spots.
Set a Good Example: ๐Ÿ‘ By driving safely, you're teaching the next generation to do the same.
Safety first, always! ๐Ÿ›‘ Want to sharpen your driving skills or have a teen ready to learn? ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ’ก Join us at 911 Driving School for top-notch instruction. ๐ŸŒŸ
