Car insurance tip: Get as much auto insurance as you can and not just "liability" but "Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist" and PIP coverage as well. Consider getting an "Umbrella" policy that gives excess coverage. The "Underinsured Motorist" coverage is very important because most people have only the minimum limits of $25,000 and that wouldn't cover the first few hours of you or people you love in the hospital. Many bad drivers on the roads are driving without any insurance at all, don't even have a driver's license, and that is where the "Uninsured Motorist" coverage comes into play, you are buying a policy in case you are hit with someone with no insurance. Having enough coverage is also important, if you or a member of your household makes a mistake, for example, didn't see a pedestrian or cyclist and causes a serious accident, you could lose your assets.
