Dženaza namaz će se klanjati u srijedu, 15. maja, u 15:30 sati, u Spokane Islamic Centru (6411 E 2nd Ave, Spokane Valley, WA). Nakon dženaze namaza, pokop će se obaviti na Pines Mezarima (12116 E 16th Ave, Spokane Valley, WA). Tehvid će se proučiti nakon dženaze u porodičnoj kući rahmetlije.

Ožalošćeni: Supruga Esma, sin Adnan, kćerka Adna, snaha Emina, unuk Ibrahim, sestre Seida i Raza, i ostala mnogobrojna rodbina i prijatelji.

It is with deep sadness that we inform family, friends, and neighbors of the passing of our beloved Muho Hatkić. He transitioned to the Hereafter on Thursday, May 9th, at the age of 60. The funeral prayer (Janazah) will be held on Wednesday, May 15th, at 3:30 PM at the Spokane Islamic Center (6411 E 2nd Ave, Spokane Valley, WA). Following the Janazah prayer, burial will take place at Pines Cemetery (12116 E 16th Ave, Spokane Valley, WA). A memorial gathering will be held after the prayer at the family home of the deceased.

Survived by: Wife Esma, son Adnan, daughter Adna, daughter-in-law Emina, grandson Ibrahim, and many other beloved family members and friends.

As-salamu alaykum (Peace be upon you) from the vibrant Bosniak-American community of Spokane, Washington! We are a close-knit group of 30 families who, for the past decade, have been gathering during Ramadan and other occasions in rented spaces to practice our faith, engage in interfaith dialogues, and share our traditions with neighbors of all backgrounds. Our community operates under the Islamic Center of Bosniaks in Washington (ICBWA), based in Seattle, nearly 280 miles away.



This year, we've found the perfect property to establish a mosque right here in Spokane, which will serve as a spiritual home and cultural center for Muslims and a place for robust interfaith engagement. This mosque will benefit not only our local Muslim community but also enhance interfaith understanding and cooperation among all community members. We're reaching out to ask for your support. Whether you share our faith or believe in fostering inclusive communities and interfaith harmony, your contribution will make a significant difference. It has come to our attention that Yummy Snamy store has been supporting activities that are against the values we hold dear as survivors of genocide. Yummy Snamy has actively engaged in promoting the genocide and ethnic cleansing in Gaza.

As members of the Bosnian community, many of us are survivors or descendants of those who bravely faced the horrors of genocide. We understand the weight of these actions and the importance of standing up for what is right.

In light of this, we urge all members of our community to not support Yummy Snamy. Our collective choices make a powerful statement about our stand against injustice and our commitment to peace.
